DO GW/Fanatic have something against Norse and Amazons?

Post by Darkson »

Seeing as Norse and Amazons have no Star Players of their own, and only access to Thrud, and looking like they have no access to Secret Weapons either, do you think that GW and/or Fanatic have something against these two teams?

No, I think its just that they havn't gotten around to making star players for them yet and the secret weapon rules aren't even released afaik?

If what Piepgrass posted is correct (and as mine hasn't turned up yet I'll take his word for it) they'vebeen left out again.

I dont think they have figured out what they want the SP's for norse to look like. As for the sw's, im not sure they should have them really.

Make your own SP for Norse, that's what I did. I use the Beorg Bearstruck model for my SP bearman and use the Wilhelm Chaney stats (I use his model for the undead werewolf anyway).

As realistic as say a Gobbo?

Doesn't help if I want "official" SP for a tournament though, which is what put me of taking Norse to BB.

As an aside, I'm now taking Skaven - without a SP

No not more than on a gobbo, but you'll have to admit (I think) that, within the fluff AND weirdness of chainsaws in this BB - fantasy world, Norse players (especially these blitzers) are just plain suited for chainsaws. More so than mere normal humies.

And I do play norse, not orcs or humans and do like the funny noises you can make while starting up  (and failing - again, spluttr   )

(PS, ever had a frenzying ogre??)

Sorry Dave, I misunderstood the tone of your post. I thought you were saying Norse would look wrong with a chainsaw.

Doesn't Anthony's Norse team have a guy with a chainsaw? Yes, it's on the back of BBmag4, he won the best painted team at BBres.

I voted NO!

If they have anything against any team, it would appear to be the tried-and-true Undead team. No SW, and everyone keeps saying the new teams are paving the way for their demise, not that that would keep and reasonable league from using it.

I voted maybe, although I think it's more the fact that they made the teams then lost interest before making any official stars.

Plus they can't make stars without having figures for them :x

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".
