I just compiled a Spotify playlist with hero/montage music for playing blood bowl. WARNING: It's VERY 80's inspired.

What tracks do you guys think are good for a game of Blood Bowl?

Depends on mood, team and environment (tourney, league or friendly for example).

But generally:
Walk Like An Egyptian (Bangles)
We Are The Champions (Queen)
The Winner Takes It All (Abba)
We Roll One! (a spoof of We Come One by Faithless)
Loser (Beck)
Human (Killers)
....

I could go on ;)

Actually there was a thread on this awhile back. Deathwing (who is inactive on this forum now) put together a list that was suggested by the TBB(now TFF) members. Do a search for it, a lot of good suggestions on it so you should check it out.
I believe DW actually made a recording of the final list and it was used at a tourney as background music (at least that's what I remember).

A couple of years back, I made a double CD as giveaway for the DO, with an appropriate song for every team. In hindsight, some of the songs could have been better, but i'm nevertheless fairly happy with it.

CD 1:
Humans: Beethoven, Ode to joy
Orcs: Cockney Rejects, Oi Oi Oi
Dark Elf: Velvet Underground, Venus in Furs
Dwarf: The Comedian Harmonists, The Dwarf's Yodel Song
High Elf: Culture Club, Do you really want to hurt me?
Skaven: Dropkick Murphy's, Good Rats
Chaos: Suicidal Tendencies, Got Mutation
Chaos Dwarf: Boney M, By the Rivers of Babylon
Goblins: Homer "Boots" Randolph III, Yakety Sax
Halflings: Randy Newman, Short People
Undead: The Grateful Dead: Death don't have no Mercy
Wood Elf: Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance

CD2:
Amazon: Cindy Lauper, Girls just wanna have fun
Norse: Grieg, In the Hall of the Mountain King
Khemri: Saint Saens, Danse Macabre
Lizardmen: George Clinton, Walk the Dinosaur
Necromantic: Michael Jackson, Thriller
Pro Elf: Alice Cooper, The Man behind the Mask
Nurgle: Daphne and Celeste, Ugly
Ogres: The Fabulettes, The bigger they are, the harder they fall
Vampires: Siouxie and the Banshees, Spellbound
Chaos Pact: Beastie Boys, Sabotage
Slann: Van Halen, Jump
Underworld: The Offspring, Come out and Play

Why is it that people seem to be really bitchy around here lately? It wasn't a criticism. You asked about suggestions for songs that went well with playing BB. The thread I mentioned had a lot of good suggestions even though it was several years ago when it was made. I would guess that threads get deleted after a certain time, which I wasn't aware of or I wouldn't have bothered mentioning it.

Anyway, some interesting selections from Dr. von R., maybe that will inspire others to come up with more ideas.
I'll just throw out some suggestions. Probably won't be very popular with the crowd around here now as it is older heavy rock and roll, but I think it fits well (generally speaking) for playing a game of BB.

Accept - Balls to the wall
AC/DC - Thunderstruck
Judus Priest - You got another thing coming

Sorry I really didn't mean to come off as bitchy. I just wanted to emphasize that I had actually done a search before posting, because.. well people tend to get flak for not doing that in forums... That said, for me at least, searching forums are often unintuitive and yield next to no results.

and thanks for the suggestions.. Already have thunderstruck on the list and the other two are very much in the ballpark (lol) that I need for my playlist. On spotify there are dosens of albums with european football fan-chants that I have interlaced with the other tracks, and if you set your spotify crossfade to max it has a pretty cool effect. :)

Madsherman, I didnt read it as bitchy, but then the written word is easily confused sometimes :) I get your worry about the Searches. The search function here is awful, but if you dont use it perfectly, you leave yourself open to abuse lol

As for music, not sure why but I've never felt the need to listen whilst playing. Maybe I should try some of the lists above :)

To kickstart a comeback: Eye of the Tiger
Right before fouling: Another one bites the dust (try to sync it with the injury roll)
When winning: We are the Champions
When a close and exciting game is coming to a close: The Final Countdown

For the last few turns of a game where you have been well and truly spanked.......

The Winner takes it all - ABBA

If you're feeling particularly emotional whaling along to the lyrics might help :blue: :)

Here is one of my favourites:

Fiddle Playin’ Man

Everywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, boy
'Cause winter's here and the time is right for fighting on the field, boy
Well what can a poor boy do
Except to play for a blood bowl team
'Cause in swampy Regina town
There's just no place for a fiddle playin’ man
No

Hey! Think the time is right for a fan stand revolution
'Cause where I live the game to play is bribe a ref or collusion
Well, then what can a poor boy do
Except to play for a blood bowl team
'Cause in swampy Regina town
There's just no place for a fiddle playin’ man
No

Hey! Said my name is called disturbance
I'll shout and scream, I'll stomp the snotlings, I'll rail all the rat servants.
Well, what can a poor boy do
Except to play for a blood bowl team
'Cause in swampy Regina town
There's just no place for a fiddle playin’ man
No

MH sorry about misreading the intent of your post.
LF, long time no see. The Wodell Ultimate playlist was the one I was thinking of, cheers. Don't suppose the Wodell league is even around anymore.

I've always liked "No One Survives" by Nekrogoblikon (and it has a cool video too). It has great theme, but doesn't fit my particular playlist :)

You ought to contact Leipziger for the rundown of what has appeared on each of the Waterbowl tournament CDs over the years.

The first 20 payers for the tournament choose a track (subject to a max length/size) so there is always an interesting mix of what people see as BB music. It then gets fed into our brains over the weekend...
