I'm not going to post links, but I assume a lot of us will have seen today's leak?

Hmm...

So...

Before I start I will say that I'm fairly pessimistic at the best of times, so weight that against anything I say :D

The new human models look terrible.
I like some skill changes and dislike others.

I would have REALLY liked to have had all the teams, even if only in an official publication without actual new models, come out BEFORE we got yet another edition.

Not sure how I feel about the rules changes that can be seen otherwise.

I really like 2nd edition, and they changed it and I grumbled, then kept playing.
I really liked 3rd-CRP, and they changed it and I grumbled, then kept playing.

Lets just wait and see I guess?

New Edition rumors seem to be true

Some massive rule changes in there. Passing and Agity back to 2 separate traits. New skills. New kick-off table.

If this releases parallel with BB3, the NAF will be hardpressed to adapt.
Maybe it's finally time for the NAF to support classic LRB/BB2016 style tournaments AND the new edition?

Thanks for moving my comments from the other thread. I guess this is worthy of the separate post.

Another thought that has occurred to me:

The hope the rules will be available as a stand alone book. I'm just not buying another box set, with another pitch to add to the ones I've already got, and more templates to add to the ones I've already got, and more teams to add to the ones I've already got...

Ok I'm really surprised. From what I could decipher, I really like most of the changes. Some of them have been on my wishlist for years (Blitz! and Perfect Defence down to D3+3(?) players).

Passing and agility as separate traits could give us Khemri teams with really bad dodging and pick-up skills but decent passing. And the skaven thrower might be genuinely good now (or at least an option).

I'm excited and going to test this edition for sure. Maybe GW did good?

I really like these new humans. Orcs are new too?

Having not played in a long time I'm not too bothered about the rules changes, it's nice to see passing added as a seperate attribute though.

The art however looks dreadful and not a fan of the game seemingly being dragged out of its alternative realm and back into Warhammer Bowl :(

It might be that this is an Empire team, maybe we'll get a generic pro human team as well? I've long thought the Empire was far more deserving of having it's own team with all the cool stuff going on there like engineers, flagellants, dwarfs, flings and ogres living there and all the cool knights.

The Noble and Savage Orc teams from the app, or whatever they were called?

don't think it is the savage orcs - looks like a new roster as there looks to be 6 goblins in the image

Quite like the look of the new human/Empire models - though disappointed by what looks like a 2016 Ogre, Orcs (4 Black Orc, 2 Blitzers?), goblins and troll. Appears to also include a new Grif and Varag

I just really hope that they can get all of the rules out for this new edition before they launch the next one...

From what I've seen so far, I'm not a fan. The new passing rules mean you can never pull off that amazing last ditch pass from a mummy or zombie. I also couldn't find any mention of hand offs, but we have a limited amount of the rules. Changing weather and brilliant coaching ruins the symmetry of coaching/cheerleaders, coaches are now more valuable for the same price. The change to quick snap means you can't move players that are marked, that's a huge nerf that wasn't needed.
