How do you, in your leagues, retire players.
I mean that there are several ways to force some players to retire for example after a big tournament or at some other fixed moment.
The niggler that must / must not roll a '1' is a nice example.
When and How do you all do this ??

We don't have forced retirement in our league. A coach will choose to retire a player if they recieve an essential stat decrease, such as a dwarf losing strength or a sking losing agility.
Niggles rarely cause a coach to retire a player, if ever. I sure as hell am not retiring my AG5 Sure Feet wardancer because he got a niggling. He will either need a stat decrease or 2 more niggles (3 total) for me to retire him.

Why should an coach have a decision when one of his players thinks about retirement ? That's a thing that an coach usually can't control.
We have a rule where players have to make a roll after each season to check which of his players wants to retire (that can be bought off with extra cash).
Okay it put some controll out of the coaches hand, but it brings in some aspects of pseudo-reality in team management and is quite challenging for a good coach.

Quite OK but it starts when players have just 31 SPP's. I feel that's a little early. I am wondering what other leagues use, if they use any rules.
(PS I was thinking in the lines of: 31SPP: 6 they leave, 51 SPP: 5+ they leave and so on. 31 SPP's is only 10 TD's. Catchers can make that very easy in a season..)
