Big Guy for Norse?

My league have decided to try letting the Norse have a big guy, and to fit the fluff, we have decided on a Werewolf type creature based on the Rat Ogre :-

Were - 6-5-3-8 - Frenzy, Wild Animal, Big Guy

We've managed to agree on this, but not sure about other skills. It Should have one of MB or RSC, and maybe regenerate. Price is also an issue, I reckon about 130-140k would be fair.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Is that a replacement for the mino? :-?

We've decided to try and stop the Ogre rush by narrowing the choice of Big guys for teams. Plus we don't think the Mino fits our idea of the Norse, so we've opted for this.

Or the Ogre?

I would give it Ag2, btw...
Ag3 might be a bit overpowered... (and I know the Rat Ogre does have 3)

Also, you might want to change the name of the Big Guy, as this might cause confusion, since there's already a werewolf in the new necromantic team...

Yeah, I've just proposed dropping the Ag to 2, does suit it better.

We aren't using the new Necro team, so it shouldnt be a problem :D

As there is currently a werewolf would it not be better to look elsewhere (although personally I'd prefer to see him in the Norse team rather than the "Hammer House Of Horror" team)? I'd have thought this would have been the ideal opportunity to introduce a Storm Giant in, fitting in well with Norse.

Something like

MA 5 St 6 Ag 1 AV 9
Really Stupid, Mighty Blow, Thick Skull, Break Tackle, Leap, Big Guy
Cost 140'000k ?
May only take Strength skills (therefore need doubles to get general)

Break Tackle is because can you imagine anyone tackling him? Leap represents him attempting to move two squares at once in a big stride. Doubt it would get used that often.....

Their progression would struggle, without the ease of picking up General skills.

Why not just use a Werewolf model with mino stats? I dunno how you justify horns (oh yes Slavering Charge) but the rest of the skills etc fit with the strong werewolf idea.

Yup, I'd go for that one.

Mino does fit in IMHO, the Norse come from the north, near the Chaos Wastes. Lotsa Mino's over there

Yeti or sasquatch, depending on your version of the great white north, but Mino stats are what you should use...No new rules=no argument.

Yep, I also think Mino fits well with Norse fluff-wise (location). I don't think the Mino will be drinking beer with the other players in the local pub after the game though, maybe he's let out of his cage only for the games? :)
