I'm doing all I can, but theres just too many teams! Maube I should start a Khemri team to go with my Orks...

I'd actually say the best method of curbing team growth is reduced money, maybe even making it possible for teams to lose money from a game (plus rules about selling TRR/players to make up a shortfall).
Although players would continue to get better the constant drain from in-game death/injuries combined with forcing teams to sell assets would mean player development was uneffected but running a high TR team became a difficult job.

Pariah, what do you want us to vote for if we think the EXP system is a good base to start from, but we would like to see it tweaked in certain ways?
I personally would like to see the aging table for the EXP system not to include any MNG results, but instead to have more permanent injuries. (And I will continue to say this until someone finally takes any notice!!)

I voted for the current ageing system. That said I would not be against a revision of the ageing table (with respect to the outcomes). Pariah posted something (a few months ago?) where there were less flat Stat decreases and a bit of wackiness thrown in. It looked good.
Whatever the system, I firmly belive that the rolls should be based on skills or SPPs. Time spent in the team or injuries recived target the wrong people. I very much enjoy managing my team and its rating in season and the ability to predict or at least have some idea of who is likely to be leaving soon. This targets the "problem" players and also allows for replacements to be introduced to the team and trained up, in the lead up to the possible retirement of a star.
The best part of all this is it allows a majority of the decision making in the hands of the coach.

[couldn't resist]
After 18 votes of which only 2 support the EXP system, I fail to see the tremendous support for it. A certain vocal minority does support it, of course, but the numbers...

Yes I know that eighteen voters is a very small amount...

increase casualty rates and keep the current winnings table (and ff mods). Should be plenty.

A Salary Cap seems like the most logical/ realistic way to curb a team.
Unfortunately, not the easiest process to compute for the team game by game. Unless you made a flat rate cost table for each race, at each level of experience. Then you could more easily recalculate you're teams salary after each game and adjust accordingly. I'm sure you'd have to adjust the winnings table too.
But, random ageing of a player after one game is kinda ridiculous.
SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION:
Why PUNISH a player for doing well in a game????? Ageing should take time- injuries should occur ON THE PITCH, not after the game with a dice roll.
Should there be ageing, sure AFTER SOME GAMES HAVE BEEN PLAYED. Not just by random.
There's my rant

The thing I;ve noticed about aging is that it really bums a lot of people out when it happens to them. Instead of limiting team growth, I see a bunch of unhappy players struggling to keep a team together and not having much fun in the process. Not the best solution for a game that is meant to be a good time, IMO.

Sing it, Anthony!
I'm shocked by the number of votes for the current system but not surprised at the lack of support for EXP.
I'm sorry it had to be done like this but maybe the BBRC can see that most of us just don't like it. Galak can keep claiming that ppl support it all he wants but Galak is a bit biased, isn't he?
I think Anthony has said very well. It;s not the way we want it to work! DO SOMETHING ELSE!
We don't feel the need to test it as experimental because we don't like it!
