I expect to move to Auckland, NZ, in about 3 weeks time.

Is there anyone out there playing BB in Auckland?

And can anyone tell me a little about the NZ BB scene?

Apologies if you also see this message on another forum.

Cheers

Well its pretty quiet over there actually. Not lived in Auckland but pretty much everywhere else in the country from Hastings to Blenheim, Ohakea etc. Some great places to visit I'd say.

But as you're in Auckland I'd suggest you visit GW in Queen's Street assuming Games Workshop is still up the top there and haven't moved. They used to have the most active BloodBowl group around otherwise I'm afraid they may have gone all LOTR or WH40K but you never know.

Do have a mate over there who might be able to help you as well. Throw me your private email address (PM) and I'll give you his. He might know something of that scene as he's a gamer in general anyway.

Failing that I'd check out Devonport as the Navy base is generally good for gamers and they play in the district so you might be lucky there. Hope this helps

I hope you notice the lengths I'll go to to keep the "most travelled coach" award.

Cheers  .

OK I live in Auckland and I have to say that the BB scene here is pretty dire. The GW shop doesn't carry the merchandise, and I had to put in a special order for the mag, and can't get the figs.

That's why I play PBeM. Anyway, if you're interested in a game when you get here, send me an email.

Bloodbowl scene isn't any better in the South Island either. I live in Dunedin, a pretty decent sized town and I think there is a bloodbowl population of about 5...ra...and we don't even get a Games Workshop down here.
