To Galak - Team listings

On your website detailing all of the current usual and experimental teams, you constantly list Physical (only on a doubles)
This might be nitpicking, but I've seen a number of folks refer to mutations in this way. It's really not necessary. If you'll check the LRB, all mutations are listed as Physical Traits. This should tell a reader that no player without access to Physical Skills can take them.
Simple brilliance overlooked, eh? I wouldn't normally make an issue of this, but it seems like something innumerable coaches say.

this is a little confusion left over from the portation of the game through various Editions. Mutations became Physical Abilities and now are Physical Traits.
So, yes, the Information "Only on a Double" is redundant since all Traits are only availiable "on a Double". But that doesnt hurt or mess up a rule.
Galaks Website is generally a true treasurechest of content but he shows as much concern about the layout like Chaos Teams for the Ball. ^^

I'm not a web designer. I've willing offered to have people help me improve the look of the website, but they'll get nothing more than mention on my site. Also Toby, I'm not into graphics at all. The site is a content site. That's why the main page fits on one page and I try to make most the other menu pages one pagers also.
If you want pretty graphics go somewhere else ... I barely have time to get content posted and I've got a lot. A volunteer typed up the entire 2nd edition Companion and I'm trying to get that posted along with most of BB Mag #1 that another volunteer typed up.
Between commishing two leagues with a combined total of 100 coaches from 16 countries, answering the email from blood-bowl.net, and programming the newest version of the PBeM tool ... there is just no time not with a full time job and a 3 and a 6 year old.
And Bud ... yeah, its redundant ... admitted. Its more a case of making sure that some idiot doesn't suddenly assume otherwise. I've learned to make no assumptions when it comes to posting BB rules ... if I get time to revamp the site (after posting about 100 pages of stuff waiting to be added to the site) ... I'll get it rolling.
I keep a full backup of the site at all times, so anyone who ever wanted to redo the site, I'd be willing to send the site htmls to, but I'd like to see a sample of what they can do and agree on what they plan on doing to the site beforehand. Like I said, the site is a content site ... I'd rather it be just like it is then be slower and prettier any day of the week.

I hope you know I meant no offense! It was just something I thought interesting that most coaches don't realize/acknowledge that you don't really have to make clear that mutations can only be taken on a double.

Is there a Galak Big Guy with the Racial Characteristic "easily offended" ?

Well, tbh the only thing I'd change with Galaks site is having a frame on the left or top with a menu to each section of the site.. Oh and a "Latest Updates" portion of the site

Wasn't offended in the least.
Just explaining the limits of human existance.
Bud makes a good point, and I agree that it would clean the site up to do it but I just don't have time.
Toby, its not that your statements offended me at all, its just I don't agree that a site has to be eye appealing to be useful. This is the same argument which you used for why the PBeM tool wasn't any good, so it familiar ground between us and so when you take a swing at my site, I don't really see the issue about swinging back ... (eye for an eye). Bottom line: No one has ever offered to redo the web design of the site ... so I have to decide how to allocate the not so great amount of free time in my life. I've chosen content over graphics at this point, especially since I have volunteers typing up content in Word that I'm waaayyyy behind getting converted to HTML to post to the site.
So I wasn't offended guys .. really not at all. I wish I got paid to do BB work because I could easily work full time between running 2 leagues, maintaining the site, answering forum questions, and programming the PBeM program. But until GW offers up 100k USD for that job ... I'm stuck having to decide how to spend my time.

Galak, were you still interested in finding out who sculpted the 2nd edition Chaos Dwarves? I may have a lead on that.

Now that I know the answer to what happened to CD #7 ... I really don't need to know the scupltor .. no unless I was able to get hold of him and see if he has concept arm or a picture of the green before it was destroyed as part of the history of the game.
Thanks for asking Skummy.

Galak,
I'd think he might be able to validate the story, at least.

Actually, Cervidal, that was one of the features I liked BEST about making Traits only available on a doubles roll to people who have normal skill access for that category. I even encouraged just reprinting the red card with the traits in boldface, which would make it clearer, I think.

but dont worry next time i will try really hard to flame you again, just to keep thinks simple.
