My leauge has a strict policy of not allowing any in game rewards for bounties. The standard thing to do if you hate a player or a team is to give a cash award for killing or maiming a player. Well, we have a newish Amazon team in our league that's just rubbing people the wrong way. Right now, there is a standing offer of $10 USD or a sixpack of beer for each Amazon permanently injured on the pitch. Since our Amazon coach started bragging about his playoff hopes, we've had a player declare they'd match this offer, and another player offered a case of beer to the (TR 205) Undead team that's taking on the (TR 125) Amazons.

Oh, and the Undead have 6 players with Tackle.

That's an interesting way to handle "bounties"...our league thought about doing it with the actual BB game winnings but we nixed that idea.

Some players in our league offer to make food or bring goodies up if a "rival" team seems to take a particularly "bad fall" during a game.

Yeah, there's actually a running bet between our Chaos Dwarf and Undead players on who is going to be the casualty champion of the regular season. Loser buys pizza for everyone. :D

The "casualty race" is always a friendly competition...unless you aren't at the head of the race.

That Amazon team sounds like it could be in trouble from that Undead team...

I sure hope so. I'm the one who matched the bounties!

Damn Amazons! Early this season, he caught me after the Undead had killed my only Tackler and reduced me to 9 players in my next game. It was an embarassing loss.

Our Amazons weren't fairing too well at the beginning of the season. They are newer players and deaths do happen...but they seemed to take the brunt of the casualties at the beginning of the season.

And I'm sure many of use have had losses (embarassing ones) that should have been shoe-in games. But being down to 9 guys for a game isn't a pretty picture...even for higher rating teams.

Yeah, I was playing Orcs, and that was 9 players including goblins. I did manage to kill a blitzer, and put an agility gimp on his thrower. :D

I once killed a couple of Dwarves with my High Elf "Kicker" (Thrower #2, Dirty Player, Mighty Blow, Kick) in 3rd Edition.

The opponent was a really good friend and he was really pissed... you better be careful with that bodycount Skummy...

This same team of mine tore apart a team of Dwarves by niggling both of his 4 AG blitzers, niggling one of his runners, killing a longbeard with Guard and killing his only trollslayer.

I like body count!

Heh, this sounds so cool, I now have a way to get back at those damn Chaos Dwarves for mauling my hummies.

He responded by putting a $10 bounty on all the players on my team.

I responded by Seriously Injuring both his mummies the next time I played another team of his. It's a wonderful thing...
