Really bad game

Just playing my first PBeM game ever, and its going so terribly wrong! It's only the fourth turn, and so far my beloved Orc team has had two players knocked out, one badly hurt and one seriously injured! At this rate I'll have to retire the team from the league after this game is over! This can't be fair. I've only barely managed to knock over one of my opponents as well! Blimming dwarfs!
Anyone else had such an appalling start to a game?
Cheers

Try coming back from a first kick off pitch invasion (when you have +2 FF) which affects 6 players - 1 dead 2 SI and 1 BH........ and when you start with 10......
Now THATs bad.

Don't give up. Nuffle's Law will roll around in your favor sooner or later. Dwarves are rock hard and difficult to knock out. You have one of the teams that could do that, but sounds like you've had bad luck. Be patient, learn from getting your *** kicked and things will start to flow.

How does 2 standing players and 3 stunned remaining on the pitch before you've taken your first turn sound? (From last Jan...)

So I had a total of 5 players left on the field, 3 to unstun and of the 2 left standing, one is ST-1 from a previous encounter. I apothed the DW, but this game was over in terms of result before I took my turn one.
That sucks. Now it's just a case of how many Sean wins by and whether the Heirs will survive at all. Gutted.

*cough* I'll have a large slice of humble pie please.
An awful lot of successful dodges and some desperate defending later the Heirs come away with a 2-1 win. Despite my early despondency, not too much went wrong on the field...and Sean's lack of re-rolls hurt him badly in the end. A lot of weight was placed on the shoulders of my ST4 DW who managed to pop the ball loose towards the end despite putting himself bang in line for getting frenzied into the crowd. (He was, but just a stun fortunately). So overall, just a niggle on a linelf from the game, and I picked up enough for a third Lion Warrior.
Thank You Nuffle!

Keep the faith, you never know in this game.

Heh.

More embarassed about my 'woe-is-me' despondent attitude at the start than anything else.
I learned a little from that...

Anyone who has the PBeM tool is welcome to view my worst game ever. 6 consecutive ones at one point

and some terrible block dice rolls. I did win in the end though 1-0 just because my opponent failed all his critical rolls too (and he was High Elves) Quite a classic.

I trashed a Wood Elf team pretty badly yesterady but most of the damage was self inflicted, two SIs on linemen (1 -1Av that the apo failed) when dodging, 1 lineman badly hurt while making a two dice block and a Wardancer with +1 Ma knocked out on a 1 dice block. Then add the casualities I caused
1 Badly hurt lineman and a SI causing -1Ma on the +1Ma Wardancer...

My very first PBeM team (Dwarves) kicked off in the season opener, and my opponent killed a longbeard and a slayer on his first turn! A BH and a score later, I was stuffed. Of course

, the game was played in sweltering heat as well, and I don't think I managed more than 6 or 7 on the pitch for the rest of the game. Went down 3-0 and didn't manage 11 on the pitch for quite a while. Now on the plus side, while the team had a 4 game losing streak, they managed 2 consecutive draws and finished off the post season with their first ever win! You've only got one SI for the next game so far, have at 'em!!

First Halve:
I get swarmed by a Blitz (was reciving). I try to pick up the ball. 2 Turns later (and 2 rerolls later) I only rolled ones. Turn 4 he scores. Turn 8 I go for it once (with reroll) and fall prone in to his endzone (my hobogoblin badly hurt)...
2nd Half he recives touchback. Wants to pass. Reroll fumbles too. 3 Turns later I 5 of his players are SI (first game for us both in a new league) and 1 more is KO and I stole the ball. I dont think he can recover from that!

I took on Galak for my 1st PBeM game, Skaven vs. his Halflings. I think I ended the match 2-1 down, he caused 3, 4 5 cas, something like that, and I didn't cause a single one

Well

Well, its still looking pretty dire. Got my two KO'd players back and FINALLY managed to Badly Hurt one of his longbeards. But I can't get through his armour, even on his runners! And I'm 2-0 down to boot.
Ho hum, more luck in the next league game hopefully.
