The Future of Blood Bowl, how it should be

This is my hope for the future of blood bowl:
1. The General skills: Please make two catogories G1 and G2
When rolling for skills then 1-7=G1 8-9=G2
G1: skills not assosiated with blocking G2: skills assosiated with blocking
WHY?: i want blood bowl to be more then a blocking game, there should be other first skills then block, and if not, then put block in both, i just wanna see more of the other skills. even Dirty player.
2. New Kick off table. YES! it boring more results please why not a D66 or D88??? And then Blitz and Pitch invasion is was to wild!, blitz...ok..ok, but i can ruin a whole game, and a pitch invasion in the first kick off in the game can ruin a game and kill a team. no bigger table and not too powerfull. just a little random event to give some flavor!
3. New handicap system and ageing system: Need not to say more!.
4. Flop the rosters up! minimum 3 positions on each and rosters, and try to make the skills a bit more varied, why only use block/dodge pass/catch????
5. Generaly more rosters, humans have 3 so far. normal, norse, amazon.
6. I think there should be hidden setup -1 player, use a screen setup the team and keep one player in hand, both players do this and when the screen is lifted, kicking team places his player in hand on the pitch, then the recieving team. this is really fun!!!

1: Not sure what that would achieve, blocking is part and parcel of the game, why limit its effect. If you dont want to use Block, then choose something else.
2: Absolutely agree, the current table is virtually useless, more and fairer results required
3: Again agreed, the handicap system still stinks when there are too many results which are more powerful than others and others that are completely useless 9 IE +1 FF for the game )
4: Not sure what you mean here, but skill selection is your personal choice, if you want to go down a different route then feel free
5: Definitely and it would appear that GW are implementing this. Hopefully not at the cost of old established rosters
6: Sorry dont see the point of this at all, if i wanted to play battleships then i'd buy that instead of Bloodbowl
PS I cant remeber seeing a huge piece of plywood set up between the teams in this years superbowl

no, yes, yes, no, yes, no.
Handicap table is a mess, but is being worked on.
Kick off table should be SCRAPPED and replaced witha weird events table that can come into play at any time. As it is a pitch invasion can completely wreck a team's whole season. Throw a rock and Blitz can completely change a game. That is never good.
More Races is fine if you can come up with a concept. Remember that fluff states that the enormous majority of BB players are human.

1 start playing wood elves and dodge away from blocks

(no seriously, they're part of the game)
2 amen
3 amen again
4 not on all rosters please. That's just part of the challenge of playing, for example, Chaos Dwarves
5 agree, only not to the cost of losing fine rosters (undead)
6 Sorry, McDeth said it all
OK hidden setup seems rather wierd, but its fun

OK i give in, it should never be a rule, more house rule stuff. but try it, it gives a whole new aspect to the game.

"start playing wood elves and dodge away from blocks"
I couldn't have explained my hatred for the elves better than this! Thanks you!

I think most of the table needs a major reworking, Blitz and PI, certainly. Get the ref also needs tweaking, perhaps the ref will only send you off on a 6 even if he's watching you?
Cheering fans and Brilliant coaching are a bit pointless as no one uses cheerleaders or assistant coaches, and Riot is biased against running teams.

Milo's stratified handicap table, posted somewhere on the board, seems an improvement and I gather the BBRC is also discussing other possibilities.
Aging is not too bad, i'd like to see an improvement but at the moment there appears to be no concensus as to what that might be.

More rosters are OK so long as they bring something new to the game, I have my doubts as to how much this can be achieved without suffering rules creep.
Other things I would like to see are:
- Piling On returned to being declared before the Armour Roll
- Access to Ogres reduced (as discussed to death already)
- Bonehead trait made worse
- Wild Animal changed completely to something more workable
- On Pitch take-root
- Big Guys not being able to use Leader/Trophy Re-rolls
- Foul appearance not working when prone
- Up to 11 players to be compulsory on the pitch where possible
- Trophy rules section re-written with the rewards toned down in line with the reduction in winnings.
- Rulebook layout changed so that relevant sections are included together (eg. Throwing and Fumbles) and an Index
Although this is a fairly large list I don't think there is anything to major on it and it pretty much sums up my current feelings on the direction the game should take. I'm sure you'll all disagree

to be honest i'm very grateful you're not in charge of the future of bb. i don't like a single one of your suggestions, except for the kickoff table, but i want it smaller and simpler, with maybe half of the events being "nothing happens". Not bigger and clumsier, with more dumb irrelevant crap.
(edit)
oh, yeah, new handicap/ageing rules would be good, too, but you didn't give any real specifics there so who knows if that would be better or not

How on earth could the teams miss each others setup when theyre on the same pitch?

I think they should keep the PI and Throw Rock on the kick-off table, although they could be with a little tweak here and there.
How about IP only lasting for D3 turns, and Throw Rock only taking out 1 player?
Also i dont see the problem with block? Every1 (almost) can get block as their 1st skill. And it is great for making elves go squish!!!!!!!!
