he's making a joke that pretty much only americans would get...see after the whole disagreement between the us and france on the whole iraq thing, the US congress passed a joke amendment changing the name of French Fries to "Freedom Fries"...hence the freedom bb league thing...

Don't they have serious work to do??? :P

Is that them who defines the language? Here, we have the French Academy to take care of that. A bunch of litterars and artists. They give logistical support to the french canadian guerilla!

No, we don't even have an official language, although there's a movement every 5-10 years to make English the official U.S. language. Then it sort of dies until someone else resurrects it.

Lawquoter: is that you that i met at the bar at Nottingham, tall, brown hair with a beard? :)

Here, we have only 1 official language, but it's so hard to write properly that everybody has its own version!

No, unfortunately, it wasn't me. I couldn't swing the trip over the pond last year because they had it in the middle of my final semester. But I will be there at the next blood bowl, where I'll try to meet all the TBBers I can, so if you're there, I'll be there, barring some unforeseen event.

My sister is majoring in French, and she's heading over for a year of study, so it'll give me an excuse to head over and see the country, my sis, and of course take in some blood bowl :D . Might go and see some WW I battlefields where my great grandad saw action, but I think he was in what's now Alsace-Lorraine (sp?). Anyhow, France is on my list of visits.
