Blood Bowl in Korea?

Post by aristodeimos »

This July, I'm going to Korea for two years...any other coaches out there?

Noticed on the NAF site that there are no registered coaches in all of Asia! Surely, I won't be the first....

I hope your computer works! At least, for your sake, I hope you can play it on the PC.

Ok JD, I have to ask. Why do you use Puggy Baconbreath as your avatar when you KNOW you'll never play a team with less than a 9 armor rating?

There's a guy in Singapore, name escapes me (old age don't ya know). NNot sure if he plays online or not, but he's an NAF member, and was the furthest travelled coach at this years BB tournament.

I think Singapore may be a bit far from Korea for weekend games for this fella.

I'm told there are American gamers in Seoul. I'll have to wait to get there to verify that...apparently none of them are members of this forum.

NAF Korea...it's got a ring to it. We'll have to dream up a special tournament to break the country in! I'll start painting up my Nippon team by Phil's Phigs <shameless plug>.

I went to Korea two years ago, and saw no GW stuff in Seoul nor the northern regions. But Korea beign the most active computer games spot on earth, i guess you'll find not many BB coaches around.

Eventually, you can learn some 'Baduk', which is the korean to Go, and quite fullfils your 'strategic gaming needs'

But you can always learn some 'hangul' and play on one of those thousand online games!

('hangul' is how koreans name the korean language, or better say, their writing.)

I'm not too worried about finding coaches...there are 37,000 American servicemen in Korea. Hobby shops near military installations usually have no problem attracting customers and gamers.

I'll be sure to give ya'll an update on Korea in about two months.

I feel like a missionary!
