What ever happened to Bull Bear?
I miss Rogue trooper staring at me.

I dunno - but I remember he used to have a Groo avatar, you lot talked about Groo, I found a Groo book at a comic place, bought it and now I'm hooked on Groo...'s all his fault with that damned avatar. (didn't someone have Raffiano the dog as their avatar?)

I have a Groo-related avatar!
Bullbear wanted to have a Groo-related avatar, as well ,as he is a fan of Groo, too. So I scanned and emailed him a "Rufferto with Swords" from a comic-book I own. But I do not know if he has used it at the end(?)
The last statement I read of him was a rather "emotional and quite harsh" post that has been deleted 3 min later by a mod. In it, he expressed his opinion about the Iraq war, Europe's position and the alleged Ami-bashing here at TBB. I guess he's still angry.

I think that might have been me who deleted his post...
Things got a bit crazy just around then. If he's not coming back because of that then its a shame. His loss though.

No, I think it was me actually, and we had a bit of communication off-board regarding it and all was cool.
Regardless, BB was still posting some time after that incident.

That whole period is best forgotten really.

Well I know he felt the anti-American attitude of the board (as do I) but I thought he would just ignore it and realize it mostly comes from ignorance.
Oh well, Bull Bear, if you are out there PM me.

Maybe he was killed by one of those tornados we heard about a couple weeks ago.

As a matter of interest - and hoping we don't get a load of politics stuff on this, because I'm only asking a straight question out of interest - a Swedish Minister (one who has managed to get himself in trouble over his tax declarations and abuse of ministerial funds) recently referred to Dubya (just about the only American I'm anti for the record...) as - approximate translation - that dumb f-ing texas guy. He got into all sorts more trouble because of that.
Just wondered if this even made the middle pages of the papers over the pond?

I keep a pretty close track on that sort of thing, and this is the first I've heard of it. I can just imagine Bush's response when he hears about it at his morning briefing though...

I guess Dubya is used to such communication.
anyone remembers his blunder when on an election speech (before his election) the microphone was switched on without his knowledge and he said to Dick Chaney: "See, there is XXX (a critical journalist), what an flower of an undescript sort he is"
Off course, he didn't apologized for that. He just said that he's sorry that the microphone was on

I almost respect that more than if he would have fallen all over himself appologizing for calling him a name. It shows that he'll take responsibility for his opinions and, hopefully, mistakes.
That said, I really don't like name-calling. I've been guilty of it, too, from time to time, though, and I do try and appologize for doing it. It doesn't change the way I feel about that person. I'm usually sorry for subjecting that person to my personal abuse. I can't help it if you're an flower of an undescript sort, I just don't need to point it out. That sort of thing.

Yes, probably.
