when multiple block vs. 2 players(Str3)with guard, do the 2 guard player "help" each other and get total of strength 8?
One player i plays with will not accept that both players targeted by a multipleblock is treated as a single target, so please someone from BBRC tell him other wise!

i'm not a bbrc guy, but i'd say it wouldn't work. 2 reasons.
1.the guy who's being blocked can't assist a block against himself. just too weird.
2.multipleblock is pretty rarely used as is...making it weaker as opposed to better seems kinda dumb.
that's the best i can do, i can see both sides of the argument but that's how i'd rule it.

The answer is pretty obvious, no need for the BBRC. Both guys already add up their strength, no way they could add another +1 on top of that. You can't contribute more than your own strength for a block (unless of course you have dauntless or horns).

LRB pp21 1st sentence - "After a block has been declared, the attacker and the defender have the option of adding extra players to give an ‘assist’."
Thanks but not good enough....

neoliminal is one of the 7 guys who write the rules, so what he says is juat about as official as you can get
and ian showed a quote from the rule book that says extra players can be used to assist

Otherwise, the way the rules are written, Guards could give assists against themselves for normal blocks.
