DeathZone

Post by Biff Smackwell »

Can someone explain to me what exactly DeathZone is? I've seen pictures of it but I'm not really sure what exactly is in it. I've seen some pics of it with Random Events cards, and new rules and such. But, the Living Rulebook is supposed to have the rules from DeathZone, yet there's no cards or anything in there.

Anyone who has it; could you explain to me what DeathZone is, what's in it, and if it's worth getting it on eBay or something?

deathzone was the old expansion pack for blood bowl, it doesn't exist in the current rules as both the blood bowl and deathzone rules are in the new current handbook

much like there was dark millenium expansion for 40k but that doesn't exist any more, can't remember what the warhammer ones were called

Death Zone was the additional rules that were put out in 3rd edition for running leagues. It also contained a lot of fluff, some new official teams, new star players and the cards. All of these have now been incorperated into the LRB in some way. Literally everything you need to play the game is in the LRB, and Death Zone is really more of a collector's item these days. Some leagues still use the special play cards, but they're few and far between.

What were in the cards? It would be nice to see them and possibly print out a ghetto home-made copy of them to see how the game works with them. Or maybe I could make my own. Just a general idea of the kinds of things that were in the cards would be cool if anyone wants to bother.

You can find the rules for the cards here: http://www.midgardbb.com/

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
