What i'd like to see more of in BBMag

Post by gken1 »

I'd like to see more articles like the Jungle Bowl or Desert Bowl articles in the BBMag. I think they could do that for pretty much every race with kickoff tables depending on where they are from. The Norse would make a good article and with Dwarves having underground stadiums weather would be changed to stuff like "lights out" or drainage problems or rampaging wandering monster.

Just no more blood bowl at sea. Any body actually play the R'Hug bi?

I second the part of ending the BB at Sea articles.
What issue is R'hug bi in?

The Runaway leader in werewolf lynchings. Now with a suggested 28.57% more lynchability than the leading competitor.

why not write up some ideas or drafts of articles and get them sent to JJ? I like the race-specific weather, etc.

Anyone know where to get BBmag back issues? GW website shows issues 4,6 +7 but they only had iss.4 in stock when I ordered them all. Got a sub now btw so won't miss any new issues.

Please, no more BB at sea, in the desert, in the jungle, under a hill, or on the mood type crap for a while. Let us recover from the last set befor you bludgeon us with more.

What BBM needs is re-printing of fluff, good tournament reports, experimental rules, FAQ's & Q & A's, and lots of Lord Borak.

Then occasionally add in the BB at sea/in the jungle stuff (say once every 4-5 issues) do a one or at most two part article.

Other good ideas are painting guides for new players, strategy articles for the harder to use teams, and a lets make fun of stupid things JJ says and does feature.

Blood Bowl is WFB Football, not Football with a bit of generic fantasy garbage thrown in!

I don't really like drastic game modification like BB at sea, with the possible exception of dungeonbowl, but I do like the idea of extended league rules.

but I've said that before :)

i think the bloodbowl at sea is a little drastic. I think "Home" turf rules tho are great. If you're playing at a Norse stadium i'd expect to see more blizards than sun and I'd thinkt the Norse should have an advantage playing in that weather.

It's ok for me to have such things in the magazine, as long as the magazine goes out more often ... BUT PLEASE, don't put THAT into the Annual!!!

I feel totaly anoyed by the BBMAG and Anual. Reprint the same thing twice. With added Typos, Errors, Mistakes because they changed a bit and forgot to fit the rest to it.
Example the Allied Team Rules in the Annual. Old Text with a paragraph or two new. 3 or 4 changed and the rest? republished with out error reading and sentences refering to the old allie rules.

I liked BB at see, but not that much that I get it in the Annual as well. Why bother buying BB Mag if they reprint such things in the Annual as well?

Annual should be mostly Rule updates, some experimental rules and Fluff. Borak counts to fluff.
BB Mag can have the same things and weird uncommon and seldomly used rules (bb at sea/beach/dessert/jungle) and whatsoever.

So it makes sense buying the BBMAG and the Annual.

Damn im frustrated by GW

I don't think the annual reprinting "best of" articles is a problem - especially when the Mag is hard to get hold of for a lot of people.

What I do mind is half the annual being devoted to the rubbish BB at Sea rules.

I would like to see game reports and some puzzles (like the Duelist and Inquest had/have for Magic).

Personally, the game reports haven't done much for me. I like tournamnet reports, strategy articles, rule variants (although the 3 part at sea was just too long), Lord Borak, pictures of upcoming miniatures, but most of all I'd like to see the distribution improve so that it hits all our mailboxes at about the same time.

How about a BB Magazine painting competition, sculpting competition, or the like?

NAF legacy team? ;)

Anyway, if they held a competition they'd probably be swamped by the sheer number of entries!
