Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
They are an enigma to me. I can't ever get my DE past them. As elves, DE are just too slow, even vs Dwarves, to avoid all that tackle. It catches up to me everytime.
A good Dwarf player can slaughter me, a poor one manages to only beat me. They are my Achilles Heel.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Same here. I've never understood how to break up those dwarf cages and avoid a 2-1 loss. Doesn't even seem to matter which team I've played. I think 've only won because of real luck or opponent mistakes.
I don't usually have a problem with dwarfs and don't get why people say playing them is boring, take kick, move players round harass them, try and stop the cage forming in the first place, isolate players so their guard is useless.
You need to force them into having to make a break for it, or making a mistake, as they want to do 2 long drives its usually possable to get one chance in there.

Oh yeah, why didn't I think of that
Easier said than done. Thick Skull, AV9 and block from the get go, make them tough to outnumber, or surround. Especcially since my own players are getting thrown left and right. Or generally just falling all over themselves trying to move somewhere else.

I don't think I have a team that I just can't beat, but I've got a team I just can't play well. Dark Elves. I love them. I want to be a terror with them. I suck at them!!! Oh, and I'm not very good with Norse too. Maybe, I'm just not very good?

LQ says " I may be slow, but the sh*ttiness of this beer hasn't hit me yet."
i wish i were in a league. all me and my friends ever play are single games and never have gotten around to organizing adn keeping track of SPP and so on. all our teams a the clean cut 1000k with plus a big guy. i've prolly only played 20 or 30 games, but i can honestly say i've never lost with only one draw against norse. my rats get the hell beaten out of them, so maybe all my victories are due to the fact that we start with a fresh slate every time
teams i've played:
Dark Elves
Nurgle's Rotters
Chaos
Human
Orc
Dwarves

NUFFLE SUCKS!
I don't have nemesis races, I have a nemesis coach, against whom I have extreme problems of winning.
I fail everything I try against him, while he succeeds very well. Last time his dwarves were dodging at 5+ while going for the touchdown, while I constantly failed 2+ rolls...
