Need help with color schemes

Post by EmperorNorton »

I need color schemes for a dwarf team, a human team and skaven.

I already have orcs in red/yellow, lizardmen in black/red/green, female elves in green/gold, vampires in brownish-red/black/white and halflings in orange/white and now I'm out of ideas.

Why not trying some purple for your human team? Purple and white maybe.
Traveller gave this linkin a previous post, maybe you should have a look.

I would recommend looking up the colour wheel. Pick complimentary colours if you want your minis to stand out. On the other hand, you can always use a tone (Black to White) with a colour. You know... like red with black or green with grey (like my Rodent Rampage). Something like that. Go with your favorite colour or be really bold and go with something like orange ... or yellow... or even turquoise (sp?). I'm sure we could all give you our favorite colours, but you should pick the colours that really stand out to you and are easy for you to paint with. :D

But to answer your request, I have a few suggestions of my own.

Dwarf - Dark purple, Gold trim and blazing orange beards

Human - Royal Blue with Black trim

Skaven - Teal and White to really stand out from the brown or black fur

I think what would help out more is if you provided a team name for them. Get team names and that will help out with the colour choices more. Good luck on your colour decisions.
