Resin offers a larger accuracy of details than metal on a casting operation.LordSigmund wrote:i thought so, impossible to get that kind of detail in plastic, though if its resin, how messy are the casts? did it need a lot of tidying up?
Whereas the metal seems granulous, the resin is perfectly smooth.
Thanks to its lightness, resin is easier to manipulate.
In any case, resin models are really better than metal model.
The casting costs are almost equivalent, so there are no differences in the prices (or very low).
Edit: This material also give the opportunity to cast larger amount of pieces, because of its properties -> less operations for tidiyng.
The only problem you may encounter is "bubbles" in the resin, but it can be easily filled with putty like GS ou milliput, and then sandpapered.
