The only thing that lets me down about the reviews in Fictional Reality is how often they don't actually "review" the miniature. 80 percent of the write-up will be a description of what the mini looks like. Hellooooo, you've got a picture of it right here -- what I want in a review is if there are any obvious problems with the minis. Any structural weaknesses, things that will need pinning, bad flash or mold lines, maybe a size comparison to other lines, things like that.
Don't waste my time describing to me what you know I can see. It's like photo captions in magazines and newspapers that say "So-and-so waves to the crowd." I can SEE he's waving, you git! Give me some context or additional information you were forced to leave out of the story, how about that?
Here endeth the mini-rant. Sorry.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for reading FR. We're glad to have new people checking us out. I agree that our miniature reviews can get a bit fluffy but we try to suggest what figures can be used for that might not immediately jump to mind. Could some reviews be a bit more structure-related, sure I guess so and we'll try to make sure that's the case across the board from now on. If you're having problems viewing the current issue's graphics try updating to Acrobat Viewer 6.0 and that should take care of the problem.
Thanks,
Mark Theurer, Fictional Reality
