Sorry for the short reply earlier. Okay, I've claimed down from reading Djengis_Khan's post. Now I'll go ahead and answer this fully. This BB miniature was scuplted by Phil Lewis as part of his Chaos All-Star team ( http://www.sodemons.com/technogallery/index.htm ) which was shown in White Dwarf #114. I purchased this team. Later I was contacted and told that the green was available for the blitzer that Phil has scuplted. An arrangement was worked out where I purchased the green along with casting rights with a no-sell just barter/gift agreement. If you owned White Dwarf #121, on page 10 you'd see a picture of this miniatures on the Heavy Metal page with the title: Chaos All-Stars Blitzer Scratch Built.
So I'm bring a piece of BB history to life. Yes, I'm trading about 1/5th of them for "rare" 2nd edition figures to help finish my BB collection to help cover the expense of getting the green and the casting. If you still think I'm ripping people off ... I'm sorry ... I don't see it that way.
phil lewis sculpted that model way back when (WD #121 era). Galak has arranged to get 300 minis cast from it, and the production mould (and the green?) on the basis he never sells them?
Same on the back of the 2nd ed. "Star Players" book.
It's Galaks honour to tell the whole story but what I puzzled out from his own tellings is that the Chaos Alien player was part of a custom made chaos team of Phil that was featured in that WD and on the back of Star Players. Then Galak acquired the original team incl. the green of the Alien mini (see his gallery on b-b.net). Now he has made a 300 cast run as an anniversary/limited edition mini but had to promise Phil not to sell, only to trade the minis as it's an original creation of Phil (and maybe due to GW legal). To have the chance to get this mini for only one not-rare 2nd ed. mini is an awesome and generous offer from Galak!
Just dig out Star Players book and show your friends they will start drooling...

I'm going to reply to this, only because its still a punch at my honor.
I had 300 cast which wasn't cheap by itself. My trade list is only for about 60 figs. So that leaves me with over 200 left. Which I plan on giving away as prizes and gifts for the most part. It would have a been a h*ll of a lot cheaper for me to just buy and trade for the miniatures I need to finish my collection than to buy the All-Stars, then the green, then the casting rights, and then have them cast.
I'm finished discussing this line of thought on this of the thread. If anyone after this discussing doesn't want the mini ... just don't bother with the thread please. In an online community, honor and integrity are vital ... so I'm responding to these only because its clear you think that this is some type of scam.

Well i think you perhaps misread the intent behind Galaks offer, there's no hidden agenda in it. In fact people who have known about this figure for a good few months now have been asking Galak how they can get hold of one. This is his reply to that query
Basically if you dont want one then it shouldn't be a problem for you, as its everyones own choice as to whether they want one or not. Personnally i do
Personally, and without 'sucking up' to Galak. I see it as owning a piece of Blood Bowl history. It's a BB model, created by a GW sculptor while he was working for GW, thus it's as close to an official GW model as you can get (abliet it was manufactured by Galak (kinda) and was never for sale). I always liked the CA* team that GW had, and for me to own a copy of one of the scratch built models is a wee dream
Thanks Galak for giving most of us the oppurtunity to get another BB model for our collections

Oh and as a side point.. Is it any different from GW producing 300 Rez Gutter Runner models? (which I so desperately want one of as well )

.... as long as i got " my" two Blood-bowl.net figures everything is fine.
Its also a clever way to get the attention of a lot of TBBs and so a easier and shorter way to finish Galak´s collection. I knew, how long it takes to get all missing minis together... and the money you will spent while buying whole packs of minis to get the single mini you are looking for...
About WD #121... i will check my WD collection and post a pict of the page later here.
BTW... Galak, any chance you also got the green of the other " Alien " player? (first row, second mini from right at the Technodestructor's Collection) http://www.sodemons.com/technogallery/index.htm
Would be great for a second Blood-bowl.net mini ?
just been through all my minis thought i had skaven lineman 1 but i don't even have one for my own team so no go there
I have 2 spare goblin cheerleaders but i see snots beat me to it there :/
I have one human cheerleader and one human ref that I was going to keep for myself, as thats the only thing left on the list i have guess I will have to part with them and get me some more of them else where
so mark me down for the human ref and the human cheerleader

I was gonna say... It looks like an alien but oddly familiar... The it hit me, I haeve an old WHFB Chaos warrior at home that looks like him/alien.
Why am I not surprised Mel was one of the first in the contests... Bloody Savage.
Sadly I don't think I have anything you're looking for, Galak. But Nice Job on them nonetheless. Good Luck.
