The whole team is the Willys miniatures Indiegogo Vampires... Great miniatures. Really dynamic and also very well detailed.
Just saw that you're not making the STABB cup! Such a shame! I still need revenge after you beat me at the NAFC with your Wood Elves!

Oh yeah... I always put Polyfila on top of my bases to cover up the slots and to make it look more like soil under the players' feet

Yep you were one of my only 2 wins over the weekend! I am not sure I will be elfing again at a tourny.....J_Bone wrote:The whole team is the Willys miniatures Indiegogo Vampires... Great miniatures. Really dynamic and also very well detailed.

Minis look great. The thralls especially. I've got a mix of vamps (Gaspez, Impact, GW) with some minis from Heresy as thralls but I they don't look as good as these.

Currently working on a new pitch for a lizardmen team !
Here is the team's captain with an engineer from Power Orc Engineering, supervising the construction.

Here is the "Vera-Cruz Terrarium"... the lower level is ready to be flooded with resin.

Yeah, my girlfriend (avid blood bowl player) said the same thing... but we played a test game on it and... gladly, it's fine. When one scatters the ball, he uses his own templatecdwat wrote:Wow, that looks amazing!mrb3 wrote:Here is the "Vera-Cruz Terrarium"... the lower level is ready to be flooded with resin.

But you're right, if I had to do it again, scatters would both be in the same direction !

Re: What are you painting Right Now?
It's truly not that thick... 1" at it's thickest (from memory, could be slightly thicker). But there are a few reasons for added rigidity. The board folds in two to become a (big) suitcase. Thickness (2" total) adds stability when the suitcase is stored vertically. Also, technically, it's a bit easier to cut the pine wood cubes no shorter than 3/4 " (forming a nice marketry on the suitcase's outside)... cutting shorter would've also meant more material losses as pine wood is often very brittle when cut on the opposite of the grain. And finally, fine marketry not backed by a board isn't a stable enough surface to support a fine layer of resine... so the thicker the better.Chris wrote:Why such thick wood out of interest?
All and all, it's surprisingly light and the feel is quite pleasant ! Also, I love the sound of rolling dices on wood (though that will be partly lost with the resine layer.
