Re: Impact! 17 Football Team KickStarter - LAST DAY!!!!!
I tend to theme all my teams, and my favorite for Elves (and really any non-stunty team) is the Avengers, so I intend to paint them all as human skin tone with armor that is designed to resemble one of the avengers or other marvel characters:
Blitzers (Both teams): Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor
Runners / Catchers: Spiderman, Quicksilver
Witches / Catchers: Black Widow, Scarlet Witch
Assassins / Throwers: Hawkeye, Nick Fury
Linemen: Wolverine, Luke Cage, Vision, Giant Man, The Wasp, Ms Marvel
I have setups where I can paint any non-stunty team in Avengers colors with pre-set names, another of my favorites is Norse (Hulk for the troll, Thor and Luke Cage as weres, Cap and Iron Man as blitzers, Spidey and Black Widow as runners, Hawkeye and Fury as throwers, others as linemen.) Obviously I never end up using all of the positionals, but I like having them pre-set in case I decided to go that route.

Has anyone received their teams yet? I believe that Tom had some issues with staffing on this one. I'm hoping that they come really soon. We just finished a season and are in the playoffs. I'm looking for one of the teams from this Kickstarter to be my next team. And the natives in my league are getting a little restless.

Tom's been posting pretty regularly in the KS comments. He is running behind, but trying to get them out by the end of the month. He may be having a family situation at the moment, though.

I'd tell your league to hang tight! It shouldn't be too much longer. He's been very up-front about some difficulties he had getting people who could accurately pack up teams. As one of the backers who has received my stuff, I'm really happy with the quality and thoroughness he's put into the project.

Re: Impact! 17 Football Team KickStarter - LAST DAY!!!!!
Doing all I can to ship them as quickly as I can. Oldest son was in medical care last week and my wife is in medical care now and due to come home from hospital at the end of this week.
This project is my top priority. Some of the rewards will ship one to two months late but I'm doing all I can to get it all out as soon as possible.

Hope things get better Tom. I mentioned it on the Kickstarter a while back(Brian Borth), please put me at the end of the line if it helps in getting these out faster for other people.

Tom, mine can go to the back of the queue if needed, there's no rush on it.
Sorry to hear of the family issues - I hadn't followed the comments on KS closely as I wasn't concerned.

Re: Impact! 17 Football Team KickStarter - LAST DAY!!!!!
Thanks guys!
I know some KS miniatures projects lately have shipped pretty late (one year or so) or look in risk of not at all (Center Stage and Defiance). We really do not plan to have anything get more than 1 to 3 months behind schedule on this project.
For those that do not know. The original schedule required several part time high school student to help sort and bag up the teams. However we found they had an extremely high error rate on getting all the right parts/figures into the team bags so I had to remove them from the fantasy football workforce and have been having to do it all myself. The problem is that its take 3 hours to sort just one bag of figures to turn it into a set of around 12 teams and this project sold 1,300 teams (so the math is there for a big number). Doing it all myself is not easy but I'm trying to get everything finished as quickly as possible.

Damn! Tom, sorry to hear all that. If I was closer to the US I would be able to offer 4 capable hands (2 people, no mutations) to help with the packing.
With the way things are I do wish you and your family a speedy recovery and godspeed on getting those miniatures out to the folks who backed the KS. I think every one with a heart will be able to understand the predicament you are in and won't hold it against you.

Re:
Final surgery for wife on Thursday. They are pretty confident that she should get better after it. However she'll be on bed rest at home for at least a week possibly two and while she is not a demanding woman at all ... I will need to spend time taking care of her. My older son is now much better but I spent the last two weeks pretty much full time working with him so not conducive at all to packaging FF teams together at a high rate of speed.connexion wrote:Family issues = bad. I suspect the answer is "Some undetermined time in the new year", but any idea when the KS'd resin teams are going to be available through regular retail on the Impact website?
I wasn't able to partake in the KS because it launched immediately before I headed off on a an epic European bike trip, but there's a number of the newly-Trollcast teams I'd really like to add to my collection!

1) Need to finish shipping out all rewards for the KickStarter
2) Next Need to ship Tritex Games the teams they pre-ordered.
3) 10 business days days after #2 ... they will appear in our store (as this will give Tritex a chance to receive them and get them shipped out to their pre-orders.
So I would like to currently believe that is January 2015.
