They look great - love the colours!

Just about to start work on mine but can't decide on a final colour scheme. I like the idea of a light blue/turquoise primary and perhaps a yellow or orange as a secondary. Not sure how that will tie in with the animal furs on the blitzers, though, as I think they need to be a more natural colour?

Tigers are orange - and why wouldn't they dye the furs?

Not my cup o tea, though they are excellent sculpts....

What I need is for Impact to carry the Willy undead elf (benoin) and the Gaspez Break Heads ghoul.... :orc:

As soon as my buy stuff from other companies fund refills... I will be placing a decent order with Willy and should be able to get that Elf. Don't count on it for Christmas ... but we are definitely planning on restocking Willy soon.

It's plastic. The same stuff that Mantic and PP are using.

Resin is a form of plastic like this, and 'resin' is a bit of a misleading name as it is pretty much a made up term for a plastic like this but mixed for different properties.
Finecast from GW isn't a bad material (beyond being cheap and strangely changing colour in nor.al conditions) but a bad casting quality and process.

GW plastic is polystyrene. Not a proper plastic at all.

What it certainly isn't is a magical mix of styrene and resin as some of the internets finest minds have stated. In between bouts of licking the windows or trying to fit their fist in their mouths. It's plastic. Proper plastic.

We have two plastics engineers at the club. I've learnt some very boring things including that when all else is said and done most of their business revolves around the manufacture of dildos and dealing with the manufacturers of such. I can safely say that the stuff Tom's moulds are made of exists because of dildos.

As a minor correction to the above post. Trollcast is a unique resin/plastic blend developed by Trollforged. It is not the same stuff used by anyone else outside of his company. It is a mix that he developed over the course of the last 10 years.

Might the formulas for the material be similar ... perhaps ... but they are not the same. And I'm 100% confident that Ed at Trollforged never worked with making late night devices as his speciality is chemical engineering and concrete.

It's been explained to me that plastic casting isn't improving in quality all the time because someone once looked at the plastic handle of a garden spade and thought ''Hey, that really would be better if we could reduce the mould lines in casting'', but rather that someone made a set of vibrating love eggs out of the same stuff and and was forced to think about the mould lines
