Nice frogs. They can really be a pain to play against.

And a pain to play with. Two of my catchers died in the last game, one was blocked and the other tripped while leaping.horekim wrote:Nice frogs. They can really be a pain to play against.

Aw, shucks, thanks!Digger Goreman wrote:Absolutely the best Orc thrower model and the most definitive paint job I've ever had the pleasure to view... massively awesome sir!!!
It was actually a relatively simple paint job, despite it being made difficult because of the mini being slightly smaller than usual (read: true 28mm or close to it).

Re: Connexion's teams and miscellaneous miniature painting
And now, for something completely different:
A ganger by Heresy Miniatures.
Sat on the shelf for a couple of years and was finally object of some attention a couple of days ago. It started as a test to see if I could achieve some sort of iridescent effect and ended up as a nod to Grant Morrisson's "The Invisibles" with a quick reference to Alan Moore & Dave Gibbon's "Watchmen" (can you spot it?).
Quick tutorial for the iridescent effect... You'll need 1 acrylic silver paint (i used Vallejo Model Color Silver) and 4 acrylic inks: purple (i used the old GW ink), blue (Vallejo GMC), green (idem), yellow (idem). First layer is silver + purple, second layer was a drybrush of silver + blue, then silver + green, light drybrush & highlights with silver + yellow (*not* gold).
Comment: the priming was made using Vallejo grey spray primer. I am now convinced that it is a rather inferior product compared to Tamiya grey primer (fine) spray - rather than a smooth-ish surface, the Vallejo spray produces a rather noticeable texture.

Re: Connexion's teams and miscellaneous miniature painting
Took another break from BB modelling & painting with the result being this:
Converted and painted for an online competition where everyone had to "sci-fi" Aenur, Sword of Twilight (Mordheim, GW).
