one thing I'm now wondering... on technodestructor's collection page it shows the BB team photo as being red & green, but the close ups are green & pink! Is this an artefact of the photography, and which colour is nearest the real life one?

Grumble, Snots said he had a lot of figs on my list. PM him and see if he's willing to give up 2 of his Gobbo cheerleaders for another fig he had. No reason for you to not use spare figs and having met Snots ... he's a good guy, so I'm sure you could come to an arrangement that would not require you to give up figs you wanted to keep. Let me know.

The pics from the close-ups are closer to the actual team color.

Its a conversion of a Lewdwig Whiparm figure. In White Dwarf #121, its says its a conversion. Start looking at the BB figs and figured out its a lot of green stuff, but its definitely was Lewdwig once. Which means the painted one in the team is a one of a kind. Yes, you could cast it but it would ruin the paint job and thus part of a famous team.

Now I did get two other greens with in later deals with Mr. Lewis. One for a tentacled Chaos Warrior that just is too thin to look good in my opinion. You can see a pic of it in House Rulez #4 if you have that saved somewhere.

The other figs I received was a scratch built Head Coach for the team. However, he doesn't look very BB-ish at all and I've never scanned him or post any images of him. He has a dagger and looks very much like a WFB Chaos Priest than a BB coach. If I get time, I'll try to scan him so you can see him for yourself.

But i was talking about the "helmet alien" (first row, second mini from right at the Technodestructor's Collection). nearly the same pose like the BBnetLimetedEditionMini... argh, anyone find a shortcut for this... BBnetLimEd#1 ?

indeed the chaos all stars colours are green and pink according to second edition

there should be a picture of longfangs bilerot vomitflesh on the wodell site painted up in more accurate shades (matching the second edition fluff book) than this brighter green used on this team

Ah ... forgot about him.

Okay as best I've been able to determine the history here.

Phil sculpted the blitzer. He had the green master moulded at some point and produced 3 metal copies from a master mould (I think this is all that were ever made if I understand correctly). By a small miracle the green survived the master moulding (back then this was often not the case).

The fate of the 3 figures (I own all 3):
1) Was painted for the all stars
2) Was left bare metal. I used this as the master to have the fig cast
3) Phil put green stuff over the head, the right hand, and left arm to create the other figure shown above with the sloted face mask. Phil then painted it for the Chaos All-Stars.

This would honestly be a very easy conversion looking at the two figs side by side. I might attempt it myself as I'm getting better at using green stuff when the castings come in.
