Finally the new griff and varag figures are for sale.

I'll order both figures tomorrow.

I saw that, too.

I seem to remember that more than a year ago, someone said the new Griff and Varag minis would come with alternate heads.

But that doesn't appear to be the case.

No big deal... I'm going to order both of these.

I think they'll come with both heads. IIRC, the heads are cast on the same 'tab'.
No 'dogfight double' pack as yet though, last I heard there were some casting problems with the base.

Hope Griff can balance.

I'm due for a big BB order soon, I presume that these two will be the new models for a couple of months.

Also, where's the new mino on the GW site?

Mine's fine, but I did stick a 1p piece under the base. Can't be certain, but I don't recall removing a 'tag', which would mean it's a flat base rather than a slottabase and therefore requires pinning.

I heard that these where meant to be posed for 'against each other' diaromas. You know like Luke and Darth lightsaber fighting only with Bloodbowl players.

Andy and Jake mentioned the extra heads down at the TKC. I think it's safe to say that they come with them.

For balance, just get a bucket of wall joint compound at your local hardware store $3 USD for enough to do 100's of miniatures and fill in the bottom of the base. After it dries, I then use some Elmer's glue and felt ($0.20 USD) on the bottom for a nice finish.

Too bad they don't update the stats for the updated figs. I think Griff should lose a point of AG as well as leap skill due to the gut he now has. Varag should have a couple of niggles (or something, he looks pretty beat up)

Varag looks good, but Griff....yuck, that must be one of the worst minis produced so far!

I agree.

this figure will be a normal blitzer in my team, because Griff will be the old one.

I got a Griff with the alternative griff and Varag head (won it at a tourney) and he is pretty big.. Easily 2nd edition big guy size.
