I've also made a series of little score markers that hang from the nail hammered into the top of the table

yes, I've made a number of cards from movement trays (about 1cm square) with a number sculpted on with greenstuff.

Wow... another idea I maybe have to adopt.

I should make me notes who to thank after I finished all those stolen ideas.

Really great and should fit every team with slight differences.

It´s a great use for that Heresy model.
I have a small suggestion. Move the nail down a bit and ad a: Hometeam as headline.
Then make one more with Awayteam.

Very cool! I agree, though, that it should say "Hometeam" or "Score" on the table somewhere.
