Here you can see some pics of the mummies of my Khemri team.
There will be an additional star player soon but there is still a lot of conversion work to do. It will be a Reaper miniature.
As you can see I painted them in the colors like the GW painters did. I really liked the color sceme so why not. Also they look more realistik with the brown bandages.

As you can see, two of them are converted a little bit. Maybe I should have repositioned the heads of a few of them.

And of cause --- Ramtut III ---

There is still the need of some paint here and there. I´m also not really satisfied with their numbers but it´s ok to play with them

Thanks for looking.

Nice contrast and colour balance. Not over the top - you've really done these miniatures some justice. I particularly like the way you've painted Ramtut to be consistent. Your gold/bronze work is also excellent!

What is your technique for painting gold? I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment, and your finish is really good. Any pointers?

For the gold I started with the one of the Vellejo acrylics range. This one was not that good, I had to apply three or four layers until covering the black primer. But after finishing that I used a dark brown wash to make the gold appear old. On top of this came a layer of GW shining gold (drybrushed). I think you can just mix some silver into the original gold for the highlights. And finally a little bit of flesh/chestnut wash here and there and thats it.

I can post some pics of step by step painting when I´ve finished my additional star player.
All of my skellies are assembled, yet. They just need some paint now!
By now this team demanded nearly all of my patience, but I think they will be finished soon.

Thanks for all your nice replies

Thanks for the tips.

A step by step would be cool if you've been taking piccies!

Even that I'm not particularly fond of the mummy miniatures, I love your paintjob. Really good looking and fitting!
Maybe you should consider adding a little more highlight to the brown/bandages, to make them look more dry and dusty. I don't know if it's due to the photo but the bandaged parts look a little too dark IMHO. They would fit to the lighter bone colour of the Skellies that way, too.
