gone forever... I can't believe it!

So there I was, a few minutes ago, with my trusty old Citadel 1995/96 Annual talking to German mail order. "No", they told me. "You cannot order stuff from that old annual. We don't have stock of those minis left. So I hung up and dialled mail order England. Same answer. "We don't sell those anymore". Whatever happened to the old GW policy "We'll produce old minis extra for you, just order anything, we'll deliver?"
Basically, this means that all the old Chaos Dwarf stuff and the old Tyranid range are OUT. Gone forever. Buh-Bye. Alas, my high-hatted friends, farewell, farewell spiky monsters from outer space, I hardly knew ye.

But there must be a way! Tell me it isn't so!
(alright, those MO geezerts told me to call US mail order "they might have some stuff left." Yeah, right. I'll spend 5 Euros for an overseas call in the middle of the night just to hear that they're "out of stock" too.

contact Grotemuis, I think he may know what GWUS has left for Chaos Dwarves (he tried to get them as well)

actually everything that gw uk has left of the chaos dwarf rang is available if you do a search on "chaos and dwarf".

nice tip, but it doesn't work... the GW search engine seems to be !censored! up. No matter what I type in, the result always is "the page cannot be displayed".

I'll call GW UK again today and will ask to be connected with a representative of management who will then get an earful about the "back range" policy. Whatever happened to company ethics? Where is the support for older, serious modellists gone? Nowadays, GW seems to be happy just to unload stacks of plastics on 15 year-olds, who'll paint 'em up in a day and lose interest in the game once girls start to express an interest in them. (okay, so those kids'll still yield a mileage of about 5-6 years, but...) The older modellists and painters, who maybe spend 3 months on one cool project before making another purchase get left in the rain.

The only solution : Go to Nottingham. In the store you can ask for express moldind of old figs. They'll tell you what they can do ( much more thna what they say on the phone)

Rejoice! Thanks for the search link, this did work. For some reason though, MO UK had more Chaos Dwarf stuff left than MO US. But I got all the old parts that I wanted... except for the MOST IMPORTANT ONE: the Lammasu head. Who's got one of those? I'll pay or trade! I need it! Need it now!

They must have a Lamasu head, Redfang bought one at the Nottingham store while at the BB tourney in May (actually it came from the MO dept, but he ordered it through the store).

Geez, those CD figs are not even that old.

Online search (using the link kindly provided by Grotemuis) yielded only a few of the old CD range. Luckily, the minis I wanted were among them. It looks even grimmer with other old ranges (full metal Tyranids e.g.)
As the complete 95/96 Annual is now "out" this must also mean that Necromunda gangs are no longer available. Sigh... another game bites the dust.
