As the post of Lurtzo of new bloodbowl minis is highjacked by persons talking about terms like "endo" or "stoppie "
i will post here first some picts of BBminis and later some more of the German GD04 entries.

I kept some of the files quite large for details.

Here some picts of the Fanatics stand:

 I'm disappointed. Most of that stuff looks pretty bland. I did see an ZOrc team with your colors on it though.

the funny thing is the 10 teams up for the painting award at the blood bowl were all better than those

hell travs golden demon winning team didn't even make the 10 team cut at the blood bowl

Looks they have rated the base/diorama rather than the team figs
Good thing is that the winner has coloured base rings, must be someone socialized with 2nd ed :D

They're Chaos Marauder plastics. They need baserings to tell them apaort since it seems that he didn't do anything special to differentiate the positions.

sorry, I agree, these are not strong entries at all...

apparently if you build a nice base for an otherwise crap team you do well in painting contests.... :o

so THAT is where I have been going wrong...

'Dook had a really good point, Norse. You've been going wrong by competing with the likes of Del and Woody, Oriol and Traveller. The level of competition the guys that hang out in the circles you're running is far superior to what I can see in those pictures.

It looks like, if you want a painting prize, you need to break out and specifically go for one at an event that has a Blood Bowl specific section.

So does anyone know of any links where I can learn how to make a base like this for my team?

No seriously I have been looking and haven't found anything.

get a bit of wood cut some holes in it and then just base it the same way as your minis

The team I got from Ancalodon has a base like that. It's pretty ingenious. It's a simple, wood plaque. To do the insets, he took a piece of cardboard, it's about the same thickness as a base is tall, and cut out the 25mm and 40mm holes. He then glued the cardboard to the top of the plaque and used glue, flock, and paint to cover the top and edges. Simple really.
