OK guys, this is only the beginning. Only two minis fully painted and four almost finished, but I would like come comments on them to improve for the other ones :)

Here is Mighty Zug

And Lothar Schuster, a one-eyed thrower. This was a molding default of the mini, and I've tried to deal with it anyway...

i like the color schema... i was thinking of green/white teamcolors myself, too. as i was told not to paint everything red / yellow ( yes, Norse ? )

For the one eyed guy... maybe with a little bit greenstuff you can do a eyepatch like a pirat ? Maybe better than the actual version here shown ? ... just seeing this pict... it could be look like a painting accident, too ? I did a similiar thing at my GD Orc Coach conversion when i remove his 40k implant.

Sure but the eyepatch wouldn't have looked like "fresh injury". That's the may reason why I didn't want to do so.
There is, indeed, a painting accident. The blood is put a little bit too high on the closed eye.
The second error is that the blood looks like too fresh (it's shining), and maybe I should have done it darker...

well, ok, for a quite a fresh injury maybe you can paint some more dark red/brown spots at his clothings, too ( breast area )... Just to make it even more clear, that it´s a injury.

Yeah... but I think this "chef d'oeuvre" should be seen by more BB players than on FBB, and by more interesting people than on CMON where the huge majority give a mark without telling why when it's bad, and give a 9 ou a 10 and post a comment saying WOAW or great when it's good...

Nice colour scheme. But Trav is right. If he's just recently been wounded, he's not going to have a spotless uniform. :D

Your thrower looks like the guy in any given sunday who looses an eye on the field

But you already know that

Yeah :) But the guy wasn't a quaterback but a lineback... :D
Anyway when I have a very small piece a milliput left, I will make a little eye lying on the ground...

Next time you're in my quarter, give me a call. I'll give you a bit if you want.

I like the colour scheme you chose. Green and White looks good. My team is Green and Grey...close. Anyways, I like what you've done for the paint scheme and the creative fresh eye wound on the thrower. Good idea. The only suggestion I have for you (take it for what it's worth) is to really thin out your white. White always goes on chalky and clumpy. At least that's what it used to do to me. I would recommend trying a darker base coat like codex grey and work up to white in really thin layers. It will look great. You will get the low lights and the final highlight in pure white. Try it on a test mini and see if you like it. Just a suggestion and in no way a dig at you. I like your guys and if they stay the way they are, they will look good on any pitch.

Good color scheme and Zug, in particular, looks GREAT. 8) REALLY NICE JOB!!
And now the critique...(with respect)
1. Bright Greens and whites lack some depth/shading (assuming its not the pictures.) I would prefer some darker base coats highlighted up to brighter shades.
2. I really don't like the grey tops on the boots of the thrower. The white pants to black boots is a good contrast-separated by the gold kneepad "leads" the eye directly to the "center" (head and chest) of the fig. The grey is just distracting to the eye and clashes with the gold.
3. I also would have gone to the eye patch route, or maybe a diagonal bandage with blood. But that is just a different direction. As for the wounded eye...Too much blood may really start to make your player look like a zombie so try not to overdo it.
4. You might want to paint the belt buckle gold & the belt white. I think that would really draw the eye, tighten up the chest area, and give a good triangular composition for the gold (shoulder pads-belt buckle-kneepads).
Keep up the good work!!
