Painting my Orcs

Well.... I'm done. Mostly.

I introduced myself a couple weeks back and though I don't have pictures of my team yet, I've finished painting 12 of my guys and I'm confident it's enough to actually get out there and start playing.

I've painted 3 BOBs, 4 Blitzers, 4 Line Orcs, and a Thrower.

Only 4 Line Orcs because I ruined a 5th varnishing in the humid Florida outdoors and it turned *white*... arrrghhh...

Right now I'm working on a troll because I wanted to try painting a big guy for fun.

My question for now is: Does anyone foresee another model I may have to paint soon enough or am I good to go for a while? Will I get by with just 4 Line Orc models? Any help would be appreciated!

I like to take Goblins on my Orc team. One or two would give you a few other options.

Gobbo's for the Troll... he needs cannon fodder. :)

4 Lineorcs are plenty ...

A full team will look have 4 Black Orcs, 4 Blitzers, 2 Throwers, 1 Troll =11 Players with the remaining 5 split up between Goblins and Line Orcs. I'd go for 3-4 Gobbos, so there's only room left for 1-2 Lineorcs. It's good to have 4 painted though, because you will most likely start with more than 2 and drop one later.

Definitely one more Black Orc.

Yeah go for the Black Orc, reliable muscle...Trolls tend to stop and observe the turf grow as elves prance merrily by. D6, 1 plus 1 plus 1 equals nothin' happening!

I'd do a couple of gobbos. You can do a good job on a few of them and they don't take nearly as long as some other models. I've got 2 to use as ball carriers and fodder for Troll chucking. I've also got a ball & chain gobbo for the good ol' secret weapon.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Ok, so I'm definitely going to paint one more BOB (I have a primered Thrower on deck as well if I need another) and since my local game store doesn't have any goblin BB models (The entire BB section where I live is *dismal*) I picked up a few Warhammer Squig Rider Gobbos which will look rather cool on the pitch, even if they're not 'offical' models.

My first game (exhibition match) is on Saturday at high noon! I'll be cramming with the rule book till then. Thanks again guys!

You cant call it complete until you have about 30 Player models ( One for every imaginable position IE Dirty Player/Troll 4 Goblins/ All the Star Player variants etc ) A head Coach/Cheerleader models. Re-roll Counters, Turn marker, Score marker.

So you best get painting
