Painting

howdy fellow tbb'ers was just wondering, as i sit here looking at my ogre (first ever mini) im about to paint would it be easyier to paint before i put him together? or... what? so u can get into the nooks and crannies or build first then paint it, what do you guys do?

Assemble a model like the Ogre first. When doing this make sure you do not create a pose that will be difficult to paint ie bent arm held very close to chest or something.

Undercoat him.

Paint him.

Done and dusted! :)

Always assemble it first. they don't glue together so well when the mating surfaces have primer or paint on them and you'll never get any blending done over the transitions if the arm is seperate from the body for example.

If I recall the ogres I got I needed to use some green stuff and there are areas where blending would be hard if the ogre was in pieces.

But general rule of thumb for me, unless it's going to be tight fit for the brush I say put the pieces together.
