What star player miniatures do we need the most?

Post by Madsherman »

Hi, I'm Mads Johansen. You might recognize me from homemade miniatures such as Treeman 1 and 2 :P..

I'm slowly feeling the itch to try and model another greenie. This time however I want to try actual scale and *gulp* anatomy. I'd like to send in this mini to Impact!'s amateur sculptor program, and therefore I'd like to do a star player that people need a lot.

This is where I need the hive mind of TFF.org: Which starplayer is the hardest to find a decent model for/convert into or does not exist in any way shape or form?

(there's only room for 25 in a poll, so I sorted out the ones that are easy to find or convert)

Next up, I'll pick one. Yes... I'LL pick any one, but it is in my best interest to do a model that people would want ;), and then we can discuss how the model should look by submitting found pics and I'll do some sketches.

Maybe everyone can pitch in saying which stars are already made, and where?

Good call:) even though all stars may be available in some way or another, at least then we'd get a clearer picture:)

There are so many missing models that would be good to get a decent model for I felt competted to select quite a few. I look forward to seeing what you come up with :)

What will drive my buy most will be comparable size with my collection of 2nd - 3rd edition minis.... If they are outsized, no sale....

Yes we have a lot of oversized stars. Sometimes this is ok, as it bigger stronger, more dashing etc. Other times they are simply the wrong scale. Something in scale with the majority of my 2nd/3rd models would be nice...

Ah, ok so that's why Igor is so popular in the poll? Because the other one looks so nice? My 2 ulfwereners from Willy serve their purpose perfectly because they're supposed to look ST4, but rest assured it's gonna be 28mm ... If I can't make it that size I won't send it in.

Igor (or Mad Max, as it was called) could be easily converted from a chaos barbarian, considering his 'fluff' (rather poor fluff, but that's a different story)

Seeing the poll so far, i've noticed J. Earlice leading the votes. Really?

Not pretending to sell any mini from any brand to anyone, but i suppose this is a perfect option for him, specially the right one... and scale wise, it's perfect.

I chose Barik, Fezglitch and Ugroth. Basically because I want to see a maniacal dwarf, a fanatical rat and a loonical orc. Especially the rat could be an outstanding piece! Ugroth would be more practical for my orc team though... :orc:

Oh, and good luck, Madsherman!

A real sporty Zara the Slayer would do it for me please. More athleticism, less 110lbs.

If you are hoping to have Impact! cast it as part of the Targeted program ... you need to steer away from the stars we already have in our inventory.

Bertha Bigfist, Grotty, Count Luthor, Dolfar Longstride, Ithaca Benoin, Setekh and Sinnedbad are all part of our store at this time.
