Well, as some of you know, I have a 4YO little miss.

She often wants to 'be like daddy' and 'do what daddy does' - so I found a way:

And here's her kit after one use (along with a basic human figure she is painting):

... Not too dis-similar to this:

Anyway, back to little miss, and the final pony she's made (with some help, two part plastic) - and SHE asked for it to be on the 50mm base (she actually asked for me to glue it on!):

So - how do you get your kids into the hobby? I realise I'm pushing a barrel up a hill to expect her to Play Blood Bowl at 16...

I have a 4yo daughter and a 5yo son, and they'll both get indoctrinated eventually. It's probably too soon now, though. My older sons started playing around 13-14, though I think Mike Davies has had some luck with younger kids.

My daughter was playing a simplistic version where we lined the models from both teams against each other and rolled dice, the winner got to put their player into the dugout. She is 4 and made that up herself. Not much less complicated than lord of the rings.

My boy got into GW at 4yo playing Battlemasters and then WHQuest. By the age of 7, he had a 2000 point High Elf Army and now that he is 18 has 3 AOS armies, has just started his 4th 40k army and is waiting for BB Dwarfs to be released.

Great to hear about others attempting it! ;) I woke up on Friday morning to the sound of rolling dice and "Yes, I won!" To discover my daughter rolling block dice and moving miniatures around the board from the demo game I had going the night before to teach some of my friends the game.
