Is there ANY exeption to the rule
"a unmodified roll of 6 always succeeds and a unmodified roll of 1 always fails"
ANYWHERE in the current LRB1.3 Edition of Blood Bowl ?
Is there ANY exeption to the rule of 6 & 1 ANYWHERE ?

Well (and this is pretty tenuous I know) I guess there's always the kick off table. We had a house rule for a while (4th Gold season) that a natural 6 always beat a natural 1, regardless of FF/coaches/cheerleaders. Didn't like the idea of 'automatic' results. We dropped it with the modifications to the FF roll in 2k1.

Actually I don't think there are any such rolls any more unless you can quote the section of the LRB that I'm missing.Oderus Orungus wrote:How about when you need to BEAT someones AG or ST on a D6.
A 6 does not do it and it states this in the lrb.
Tentacles is now a ST+D6 roll for each player for it comparing dice rolls (ie its not a "feat" roll based soley on the D6)
Hypnotic Gaze is BEAT the AG and its says that a 6 always succeeds and a 1 fails.
Tentacles doesn't count because its not in my opinion a true D6 roll. Otherwise the kickoff table for Cheering Fans would fall in the same category since if I have an FF of 3 and you have an FF of 9 and I roll a 6 for Cheering Fans and you roll a 1 ... I don't automatically win and you don't automatically fail. The nature of the roll isn't really a true D6 ... but I can see where you might argue that this is a case where 1 doesn't auto fail and 6 auto succeed.
