HMP clarification.

Does ANYTHING affect HMP passes? The rulebook query mentions no effect from TZ, dist presence. Pass works, how about:

Stunty (-1 to pass?)
Very Sunny weather
Special Play Cards
All other skills (Accurate to counter stunty?)

I did a search, didn't find any answer..

Doesn't read as if any skills, conditions (other than blizzard) effect the throw. This is one place where it specifically does NOT say anything about "normal passing skills apply" as it does in other areas.

Roll a 1 - fumble.
Roll a 2-6 - treat as an inaccurate pass.

I don't think that Stunty, Special Play Cards, Disturbing Presence, or any weather (other than blizzard, which is stated) make any difference.

Without consulting the rulebook, I bellieve lerchey is correct.

HMP is very effective on the right team, and in the right circumstances, for the very reason that it cannot easily be countered.

My brother has one with his gobbo team. Very, very nasty!

A HMP bomber is a lot of fun but the inherent inaccuracy means it's more of a potential threat than any likelihood of doing damage (unless one of your own players is within 3 squares of the target, of course, in which case it's obvious where the bomb will scatter).

Has anyone tried HMP with Slann?

HMP and Diving Catch must be golden!

Add in NoS for the catchers, and yeah that'd be a killer combo.

This is addressed in the FAQ section of the LRB 5.0.

Not comprehensively. The rulebook FAQ only mentions pass, tacklezones and disturbing presence. Not weather (very sunny -1 to pass), not the special play cards (HMP player with gromskull's exploding runes, for instance -1 to HMP-pass or not), not stunty (-1)/accurate (+1)/Strong arm(+1?).

So it does not really answer the question of, what comprises a fumble in a HMP roll.

The entry for reference is next:
LRB5 FAQ page 61 wrote:Q: Can you use the Pass skill to re-roll a fumbled Hail Mary Pass? Do
Tackle Zones or Disturbing Presence affect a Hail Mary Pass roll?
A: Yes, you can use Pass to re-roll. No, tackle zones and Disturbing
Presence do not affect Hail Mary Pass rolls.

Disturbing presence should also affect it if I'm not mistaken?

HMP is not an agility roll. Its a 2+ roll ... there are no modifiers.
