Hi,
a question about how to use the apothecary when a player is KO´d.
If I decide to use the apo for a player that is not on the pitch (waht meens to me, that he is in the KO-Box) what is the right time to use it? After the diceroll for the player or before it?

I think you misunderstand ... you need to use the Apothecary on the KO'd player immediately after he suffers the KO'd result.
It is not meant to be used on players in the dugout who are in the KO'd box at the end of a drive.

Then he can block the offensive basher using the same dice (yea right wouldn't that be nice)

Thank You, but what is meant with the second part of the following sentence in the rulebook:
"If the player was KO'd leave him on the pitch Stunned or in the Reserves box if not on the pitch."?
Can I decide were I want to leave the player?

It means if he was KO'd from the block that just hit him leave him on the pitch Stunned.
If he was KO'd by the crowd after being pushed off the pitch (ie not on the pitch) then put him in Reserves.

So, that means that the apothecary may be used on an injury caused by the crowd or a pitch invasion or a rock for instance ? I think that it wasn't allowed in the previous LRB, am I wrong ?
Thanks for your answer.

Wasn't allowed in LRB 4.0 and before ... that was changed for LRB 5.0 and after.

Aww. I had interpreted that part of the rulebook as meaning you could use the apo as a sort of super-budweiser babe, automatically moving one player from the KO booth without needing to roll the die.
Not that I was likely to use the apothecary in that way very often, but it would have been useful in certain cases.

You are not alone. I read it that way as well before I read Galak's explanation.

As a house rule .. that's not a bad thing.
But we had not meant to change the timing of when the Apothecary needed to be use (ie Apothecary is always used immediately after an Injury roll).

+2. The wording and sequence of the KO'd use for the Apoth was confusing to me. I think it would merit a mention in any future FAQ CRP may get.
"If the player was KO'd leave him on the field stunned, or if he was not on the pitch, put him in the Reserve box"
I think the difference comes from the use of passive tense: "was/been KO'd". I interpreted that as the "status" of the player was KO, rather than the player had just been Knocked Down.
The wording of the Bloodwiser Babes also references the recovery from the KO'd "status".
Finally, the timing or the Apoth re-roll is only addressed AFTER the discussion for KO: "Otherwise immediately after the player suffers the Casualty, you can use the Apoth to make your opponent roll again on the Casualty table..."
With that in mind I had read that the Apoth can be used on a KO'd player at any time to recover them from KO'd status. And was planning on potentially using him on key players if failing the KO'd recovery roll.
