One of the chaps in BRGA's Bloodbowl league who had the 30k lower team rating in a match added 20k from his treasury to his 30k's worth of inducements to get bloodweizer babes.

I'm pretty certain this is not how inducements work (I think you've got to decide what to transfer to petty cash BEFORE inducements are calculated), but I'm not 100% sure...

Made little difference to the match anyway as the poor sod got absolutely rinsed!

Correct, he would need to spend the full 50k to get the babe.

Just to expand on what mepmuff said;
The underdog would add 50k from treasury to petty cash, thereby adding 50 to the team value. That petty cash can then be used to induce a BBabe.
