Question about the pass template

When using the pass template to determine who can intercept, do you only use the visible part that is clear to see what is breached or is is anything under the piece of material itself, even the parts that are colored in?

If you look at the interception and fumbles page in the rulebook it's fairly clear it's all the pass template.

If there is any question you could always just use the established pass grid that's been developed in lieu of the ruler.
There are a bunch floating around out there but here's an example of one on this sight:

Any model's square that falls under the template, which has to have the spot over the head of the passing model and the centre line of the template discecting the centre spot of the square of the catching model, that model can intercept.
IMO and as a house rule. We play intercepts last. Throw > Catch> Intercept (make it fun) even if they wobbled the ball or fumbled the catch > Safe Throw... hahahaha
