Shadowing and Tentacles mechanics

I need clarification/confirmation on the CRP/LRB 6.0 Shadowing and Tentacles mechanics.
Shadowing: Coach A attempts to dodge Player A away from opposing player, Player B. Coach B declares Player B uses skill. Coach A rolls 2d6. Dice Roll plus Player A MA minus Player B MA must exceed 7 for Player A to "escape". So, the person rolling the dice "succeeds" when the roll to use the skill "fails" (or, Coach A wants the skill to "fail" so that Player A can escape). And, because its only Coach A who is rolling, and because it is in his Team Turn, Coach A can use Pro (if Player A has it) or a Team Re-roll to re-roll Shadowing even though it's the opponent's skill; and Coach B can NOT cause a re-roll even though the skill is on his own player.
Tentacles is the same, except the modified roll must exceed 5 and an escape from Tentacles could be attempted in the opposing Team Turn (via a Pass Block attempt) in which case a Team Re-roll could not be used.
Did I get all that right? (Because, now my brain hurts.)
