Rule book page 69, column 2, para 5 wrote: purchased/induced Apothecaries or an Igor may not be
used on Star Players ever. Star Players employ their own
personal trainers and apothecaries who travel with them to heal
them from almost any injury (including death) and to get in shape for their next match and will not use the team's amateur
physicians.
Stars cant use the team's doctors. Seems straight forward.
It then says they employ their own. Can these be used in game to save a star player?

This came up recently, I said yes, but wanted to know how others interept that and how it's meant to be played.

(A quick search gave nothing up)

No, the 'personal apothecaries' bit is just fluff to explain how Star Players can never die and are always available to hire. In game, apothecaries of any kind (Team or Wandering) can't be used on Star Players.
