Bombardier versus downed players

I've seen some posts on this subject, but wanted to double-check.
1) If a bomb lands adjacent to a prone player, are they automatically hit or does it still require a 4+ roll to hit them?
2) If a prone player for the active team is hit by a bomb, is it a turnover?

If I'm reading the rules correctly it's:
1) Even if prone it's still a 4+ to hit players adjacent to where bomb lands.
2) Yes it's a turnover, the bomb treats those hit as 'knocked down' and an active player knocked down is a turnover.
From Bombardier:
When the bomb finally does explode any player in the same square is Knocked
Down, and players in adjacent squares are Knocked Down on a roll of
4+. Players can be hit by a bomb and treated as Knocked Down even if
they are already Prone or Stunned.
Turnovers:
1. A player on the moving team is Knocked Down (being injured
by the crowd or being Placed Prone is not a turnover unless it is
a player from the active team holding the ball; e.g. skills like
Diving Tackle, Piling On and Wrestle count as being Placed
Prone) or...

+1 to Loki's answer.
Seriously, this forum needs a "like" or "+1" buttons.

Yeah, that was my understanding, too. But we have a local coach/organizer who disagrees (not sure if he's a member here), and I can see how some ambiguity can be read in the rules, if only because it doesn't explicitly say that "treated as Knocked Down" applies to turnovers as well as the armor roll.
I get that there isn't room to state all aspects of every rule, but it is an uncommon situation.

Gaixo ... I'm not sure how you can see ambiguity. The coach in question should not try to read into it ... just follow the text.
Turnover quote is "A player on the moving team is Knocked Down"
Bomb quote is "Players can be hit by a bomb and treated as Knocked Down even if they are already Prone or Stunned."
Anything being added in about armor rolls or blocking or anything else is talking about something not in the actual rules.
It is as simple as ... was the player from the moving team Knocked Down (for any reason at all) ... yes? then Turnover

Sure. I get that you shouldn't have to spell everything out. But to be fair (to myself!), it does seem to have come up several times before. I hadn't been able to find a response from you on any of those previous threads; that was my main reason for bringing it up again.

No issue at all with asking the question.
My post was in response to defending the coach asking the question saying the rule was ambiguous. Some rules definitely are. But this was not one of them. So I wanted to try and stress that the best thing that can be done is not to try and read in extra text into rules when trying to figure out a ruling. Take the words as they stand is your best option.

This brings another question to my mind, reading the rules for Turnover.
Crowdsurfing your own player (or careless aiming of the Ball N Chain) is NOT a turnover right? I always assumed it was, but now I think it isn't.

Suggests to me it's not a turnover. You could also accidently surf your own players through careless chain pushes and frenzy.

Evidently, this was all predicated on me miscommunicating the rule in the first place.

I said that it was a turnover if a downed player was "hit" by a bomb. By "hit" I meant that the 4+ roll had been made, but he thought that I was saying that being in the area of effect was enough to do it. Talk about ambiguous language.

Not a turnover unless he had the ball.
