Apothacary question from the Blood Bowl

OK.
During one of my matches at the Blood bowl my opponent used his apothacary to heal a stunned player (it was the 2nd to last turn in the game).
I always assumed that you could only use the apothacary to heal casualties (BH, SI and death).
It's possible I've never seen this because most people would save their apoth for more serious injury.
The rules for the apoth do say "may attempt to cure any one injury" and stun and KO are on the "injury" table.
The only thing that supports the "only casualty" theory is this "On a roll of 2-6 the Apothecary succeeds in healing the player; leave the player on the field, face-up."
How do people play this?

i always thought you could do, just that no one did... but at teh end of the game, the difference between a face-up and a face-down player might make it worth a look...
the way to head it off or short-circuit it is to change the way apothecaries work or the wording of their ability, for instance, in my league, i have apothecaried players go to the KO'd box instead of getting left on the field... i thought they should spend at least a little time recovering afterall, in this version, you'd take him from stunned to KO'd... not a good deal (though, i suppose this would be a way to get a vulnerable starplayer out of a fouling situation.... i'll need to edit the rule accordingly)....
but unless you change the way apo's work, you might as well let people do this... unless one of them nasty bbrc people come in and say you can't... but i say do it anyway...

This is fine. You may use your apoth on any sort of injury - so stunned, KOd or casualty. This can be really important in tournaments where there is little incentive to save the apoth for later in the game.

Once you're through armour, you're rolling on the injury table. 10+ and then you're rolling on the casualty table.
Apoths heal injuries.

If I had known this I would have used it in some league games too.
I've been in situations where the only guy who could stop the opponent from scoring got stunned. Apothing that stun would have been most helpful.

Apoths heal injuries.

Yer ive used apoth on a stun before, can't do it in javabowl though as it only prompts you on a cas in order to keep the number of pop ups to a minimum.

If you are prepared to use it on a stunned then go for it, i used it on a KO'd player once an it was of course the only player in scoring range and of course the only time he has failed his 2+ role. Serves me right for trying to heal a KO'd player

yeah you can use it on any injury you want...i've used it on a stun on the last turn of the game becuase it was the only way i could win....
i've also used it on a ko near the end of the game because it was the only way i could preserve my win...needed that guy on the field to stop the opponent.
yeah you can use it on ANY INJURY...anything that breaks your armor is an injury...stun, ko, and all cas results.

I've used my apothecary on a KO before as well, sometimes you just need to.

When i play the Apoth is only valid for use when it's a serious injury or death! I wouldn't understand why the apoth would bother to run onto the pitch to roll someone over is all, also K.o's are generally allright, again don't know why the apoth would bother, run onto the pitch and bung some smelling salts under there nose?
Badly hurts were under questioning for a while and to be honest i'd like to heal them myself!
But that's house rules for you!
