Doubles Skill Roll

Hey guys,
The other day, after decemating the human team I played, I make one of my Star Player rolls, and got double 6's. Now, my question is, do I get my choice of what I want to do? I mean, do I HAVE to take it as a doubles roll, or can I go ahead and take the +1 ST that 12 would give you? I figure it's my choice, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Well the rule book suggests you have to take the str, as it says if you go up more than twice the roll is waisted, however i've always played it your way! A str upgrade is quite a sacrifice! so the folks your playing with will probably understand!

Any double can give u a skill. Not many people would ever give up a +1 st tho or +1 ag for that matter. I just gave a +1 ag to a Flesh Golem in my mbbl game (the file of which i sent out today).

Under the old rule (3rd Ed) and double roll could be used as a double or for the +1 ST (12), or +1 MV (10). You always had to take the +1 AG as it is not a double roll.
However, under the LRB 2.0 you can always choose now to give a stat increase as a skill instead (pg40).
As to your blitzer I would definitely choose the +1ST. Having been playing against a St 4 blitzer, and a St 4 Ghoul in my current league and they drive me insane.

You can take another skill, but +1 ST is too rare and too good to pass up.

Read again, he's asking whether he can use it to take +1ST or have to make use of the double roll. Think about it again, real slowly.

Actually, it wasn't an April Fool's post...
however, I was feeling sick yesterday, and re-reading my post, I can see how you thought it was. Sorry guys, I'll make sure my posts are better from now on.

Undeads are used to digging deep, aren't they?
Anyway, the first thing that came to mind when reading that post was "that's a dumb question, if you can't take +1ST on a double 6, then when can you?" Then i thought it was way to dumb to be a real question and had to be an April's fool.
