Just testing the water ... if the BBRC was to look more closely at the Poisoned Dagger penalty roll with thoughts of introducing some more characters with Daggers back into the game what should the penalty roll be for them?

I've voted for 9 as the Secret Weapon roll. However, IMO there are 2 other changes necessary:-

1 Raise the cost to 30k

2 Don't allow Wild Animals to use any Secret Weapons

No secret weapons for big guys PERIOD.

Secret weapons should be available as an upgrade to any rookie player (limitations for which weapons on each race.) One weapon per team, except dwarf (2) and Goblin (4).

Simple.

In 3rd edition: 9+

But now that it is no longer possible to reroll armor or injury rolls, the dagger has become a lot less potent.
So - 10+

I voted for 10+ but agree with Dave and Thadrin. Personally i think we will see more use of secret weapons now that fouling has been curtailed. Especially those teams which can get the daggers. If the choice were a dirty player or a dagger wielding gobbo, rite now in 2k1 i would pick the dagger. No turnovers and no loss of the player (from your own action) till the end of the drive. I definately believe Big Guys should not be able to get them, tho to be honest with the new winnings tables and the relatively small effectiveness of daggers, i would never spend the money on a big guy and add a secret weapon cost to it. I would be happy with anyone who chose to do so tho, after all how many hours of mirth would i get from a dauntless block that killed him and set the coach back well over 100k.
