Again: you don't have Wild Animal (as we are talking about Ogres here), so you are never forced to make that first block. If you see a 2d block against coming up, make sure it doesn't.. It's easy to cancel assists.
So the point stands that a) You wanted to make the first block, so might as well make the second b) You have ST5, so not that much needed to the be relatively safe from the block in the opponents turn (just move a few players near the ogre, they were there anyway probably) and finally c) You usually *blitz* someone over the line, it rarely occurs as a regular block if you need frenzy, so you can always move away from the line again.
Granted, if you are blessed enough to roll another double, SF would be a rather nice addition, but not a necessity.
Standard Ogre progression?

Re: Ogre Progression
I coach an Ogre team, so I have much the same problem, but a few normal skills make a surprising, but brilliant Ogre. Instead of Blockers, and Ogre can make a brilliant Runner of the ball.
MA 5
ST 6
AG 2
AV 9
Block, Sure HAnds, Break Tackle, Dodge, Mighty Blow, Throw Team Mate, Bone Head
This guy became the league's top scorer; he is unstoppable in a Blitz, and with Break Tackle and Dodge (if you're lucky) can side step a front line quite neatly.
