As for what to do when the cage gets stalled. Well first of all, i'm not advocating trying this all the time. This is only a plan B for when you pop the ball loose, when plan A is not possible or not practical (plan A being to score right away with it or at least bring it out of range of any opposition with a gutter runner).

On the next turn, i'd expect the opposing team to surround my cage (easy enough since their players didn't have tackle zones on them). Assuming the rat ogre has at least one tackle zone on him, which is probably the case, the only thing to do here is blitz with him and dodge away either to score if he's in range, or to some spot where you can form a new cage around him if not.

Granted, this doesn't look like the best plan in the world, but it is a plan B, and is better than anything else the team could pull off to secure the ball under this circumstance.

Hmmn. Don't recall seeing you or anyone from Zombie's league across the table.

Back to the original question I believe tackle is much more useful on a Rat Ogre than +AG.

And I completely disagree. Never, EVER pass up a chance to give a player AG4. No matter his role on the team. AG is used more than any other stat, from Ball handling to Hypnotic Gaze, you just can't go wrong with it.

And I still think the Payoff of allowing Linerats to have the ball and score, is worth the potential Turnover, everytime. I am completely baffled by the statement that they are one of the slowest to develop, when there are such other slow developing linemen, like Humans, and orcs.

Um, strength is used more than any other stat, isn't it?

Well for blocking, so on a dwarf team, yes, but for winning, no. Look throught the LRB, how many times do they feel they need to throw up the Agility table. This, in a book renowned for not putting things where you need them, makes sure to show you that 4 or 5 times.

Yeah, but there's only one ball. I'd bet that the average player uses strength when blocking a lot more often than he uses agility when ball handling or dodging.

When you've got it, you flaunt it. If the RO gets it, he will suddenly find many situations in which to use it. Passing it up, will just make you realize of the situations in which you wish you had it. Tackle can always be earned later, an AG increase, cannot.

I agree, i would never pass up AG4 on any player, ever. Just like i would never pass up ST4. I rank both at about the same level.

Anything other than an AG 1 player or a Wild Animal I'd agree entirely.

I think Wild Animals are a special case. They rarely dodge and ball handling with them is a complete nightmare. Its more useful to make them very effective at what they do best - blitzing receivers.
